The prices vary on Irish coffee between the bartenders. Consistency is key. Good place though, just staffing issues.

Great drinks and atmosphere! Great place to chill with friends.

Strong, cheap drinks! The absolute best twenty dollars I spent in one hour!

Great place to have either an espresso or an adult beverage. Small place but yet big enough for the usual crowd. It has a chill vibe on the inside and on the outside patio. Right in the heart of Wichita's Delano District facing the street and clock tower with another patio in the back with an atmosphere that just brings everyone closer together. There's always a fun and sometimes very eccentric crowd which only adds to the great atmosphere that the place already has established. This is definitely one of those places where the best thing about it is the people who run it and the people who frequent it. Plus the drinks are good and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Best place for a coffee with a kick, Brian is a great guy too!

Old fashion, calm, relaxed, board games. Nice place for coffee or booze.

They have coffee, beer, and tea. It's a cool spot

A place to crush 6 beers in comfort.

When I was a major night-dweller, I viewed the V as home away from home. I have had more than a few life-altering interactions at this place and for years it had a certain pull about it.
Come here with your guitar, sketch book, or reading glasses. Keep a smile on your face and you'll certainly find some company.
Sometimes the customer service is questionable depending who's on shift. I learned to appreciate the workers for their individual differences and it made my experience more pleasant, regardless of wait time or attention to detail. Still, other folks may rate them low in this area.
The facility isn't usually expectionally well-kempt, either, but if you're not a fussy type you'll likely have a good time regardless.
There is a strong sense of community at this place; it is my advice to choose your clique wisely or not at all.
The back patio is legendary for impromptu song and dance and chess; the interior booths are known for artisans and gamers; and the front patio seems to be the spot for existential, philosophic conversation.
Of course...if you see it as *just* a dive bar, then that's all it will be to you.

Like a normal bar. Music was a little loud, though. I don't drink alcohol, so the $2 sodas and tea with 1 free refill are nice.
