Great atmosphere, great coffee, and friendly people behind the counter. This is not a Starbucks style coffee store. The atmosphere here is very family friendly and relaxing. Lots of books on the shelves and games for the family to play. Put down the laptop and electronics... enjoy the atmosphere when you visit Ad Astra Books & Coffee.

I love this coffee shop so much! It's so cozy! I always feel right at home. They have a good selection of books and a wide variety of beverages. I also love that they sell products from local artists and creators. YOU MUST STOP HERE!

A great place to meet people, have meetings, study, and, of course, enjoy good coffee. The atmosphere is wonderful with great decor and good music (but not too loud). There are books and games for adults, and there's a kids area, too! Fantastic, personable customer service!

This is one of the best coffee places I've ever been. The coffee is fantastic. Their baked goods are out of this world! The service is friendly. They also have a really neat store and sell books as well! I highly recommend this place!

Lively bookstore and coffeehouse. I drove by and saw the beautiful painting on the side of the building, which caught my attention. Parking was easy as there's a lot right next to it. When I went in, the place was packed with people of all ages playing chess, reading, playing cards and ordering from the cafe. Highly recommend stopping in here, even if you have little ones because there's a quaint little children's area full of games, toys and books.

I love coming here with my friends, it's a great place to go to study, read their multitude of book selections, or play a board game with friends. Great selections of coffee, tea, sodas, and lots of other drinks.

Cozy atmosphere and amazing coffee!!

Great coffee, great pastries, great atmosphere. The only reason I didn't give a 5 is because some of the tables are too close to the bookshwlves, so I could not look at the books where other patrons were sitting without feeling rude. Might think about moving general fiction to a different section and some of the less - browsed books to the more common seating areas. Great ambience, though!

Lately, I've been finding myself a little getaway that I never knew I needed. Ad Astra coffee shop has been having a dj play some music on wednesday and its been a great break from the normal day to day art scene of Salina! He even played some house and trance music, which is very welcome in a city that frequents top 40. DEFINITELY did not expect to hear some Tinlicker (wierd name, but epic dj!) in Salina!!! I was also able to snag a caramel machiatto, which was very tasty and wasn't like the normal ones you get from starbucks! If you could continue to have this DJ playing jams on vinyls, it would be greatly appreciated. I plan to keep coming back any chance I get to hear electronic music here!!! Thank you for being the oasis away from the norm I needed in life.
