I worked at sparrow for 2 and a half years and then transitioned into working for Dave at brothers. The menu is exactly the same, the syrups are exactly the same, the food is exactly the same. So the difference between sparrow and brothers is management and labeling.

Overall I have worked at 5 different places since working here and I have never seen an OWNER treat their employees like this. So, if you are looking for a job I HIGHLY recommend applying somewhere else in MHK.

Coffee was decent but received a lot of stares when I walked in so that's funky.

Love this place, best coffee shop in town. Beautiful Not Neutral cups and dishes, and delicious coffee. (If you're not into coffee get their version of a dirty chai, it's delicious!) Location has plenty of seating for casual conversation, homework, board games or group events.

I love Sparrow. If you're looking for a genuine cup of coffee, this is the place. I've tried all local coffee shops, but this is by far my favorite. House made syrups and pastries are there too if you happen to have a sweet tooth that day. Very awesome atmosphere away from campus along with friendly staff. I'm here fairly often, so I hope to see some new faces.

I highly recommend Brothers Coffee. It is my new stop-through when traveling to & from KC to my hometown, Clay Center. Awesome vibe, cozy, good options. I love me a good coffee shop!

I love this place! It is so warm and inviting. The owner, Dave, and all his staff are friendly and welcoming, and provide excellent service. The coffee is delicious. I highly recommend the lemon poppyseed scones.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They could give you advice on the various coffees available and will grind the beans while you wait. Their muffins and scones are delicious. You can sit and read or do homework or just talk with a group of friends and no one bothers you. It is a friendly place.

Service, food, and coffee was amazing! The shop was intimate and perfect for a small work place meeting or quick date!
