Great environment with lots of seating for groups and individuals studying. Ample plug ins and quite music with low chatter. The art gallery upstairs is a nice place to sit and drink coffee. The barista specially made a flat white for me and it is perfect. I will be returning!

One of the best coffee shops in Lawrence! Great coffee and great service! Kind of pricey like the other nearby shops, but the atmosphere makes up for it! I really enjoy Signs of Life when I'm in desperate need of some espresso. Their service is always quick, and it's fun to browse the bookstore inside! I have come when I wanted to study and I felt like their music was just too loud to concentrate when I went, and limited seating in the coffee shop, but a perfect atmosphere for casual conversation and fellowship.

A very fun and energetic atmosphere, due to the large amounts of college students that buy coffee and study here. The employees are very nice and helpful, a must visit!

Amazing place. Great coffee, comfortable area for studying, chatting, and browsing for books. There is an art gallery upstairs. Sometimes they even have live music. My favorite drink is the London Fog with vanilla instead of honey. The change from honey to vanilla was suggested by an employee when she was helping me look for a new drink to try and I told her I didn't like honey. It's the things like that that make this a great coffee shop. One of my all-time favorite.

Great mix of coffee, books, art, and spirituality.

Was able to look in person at some books I thought I might be interested in. I noticed a huge religious section.

Nice enough space. It’s VERY Christian, so be aware.
The music is good and at a nice level. Iced coffee is also good. I get a lot of work done here. The location is great and the large windows are very nice. The space gets very cold in the winter because the door opens and closes so often due to the foot traffic.
If you come often enough you’ll start to recognize the regulars.

Oh how I love this peaceful shop! Wonderful cards, stationary and little gifts. Such a thoughtful selection of great books. I appreciate that the shelves aren't stuffed and overwhelming; the aisles are so spacious. The chairs are inviting and cozy. Wonderful employees, too! A real favorite.

Uhm.. their coffee is really good and the gallery on the second floor is a nice feature. I went in there without reading any reviews and wanted to try new coffee shops. Went into the library because I thought they might have a few literary texts that might appeal my interest. Come to find out that their selection purely consists of Christian and far-right books. If you’re looking for a broad range of literature I would not suggest this place.

Great coffee and a wonderful selection of books. There are books from many genras from newly published best sellers, to the great classics and an excellent selection of childrens books as well.
I'm looking forward to live music on Friday! I always love the art gallery upstairs.
The high point for me though is the selection of Bibles along with philosophy books.
