Love the vibe of this place. The owner is the best and super friendly!

I’ve been going back and forth for a few weeks on whether or not I should leave a review. The owner of this place is always so friendly and attentive. The baristas are more touch and go. The coffees not bad, but you never know if you’re gonna get a friendly a barista or a barista who just wants to get done with you as soon as possible so they can talk with their friend or get on their cellphone. There were baristas from last summer who were always so friendly and chatty (in the best way). Been telling my boyfriend that I want to find a new coffee spot but this is the closest one to our place so…

This is truly a hidden gem among coffee shops in Lawrence. Everything I’ve had (mostly espresso drinks) has been excellent. I highly recommend the Valencia 🤌🏻 They have really tasty coffee, low prices, friendly employees, and best of all: they’re freedom-minded and don’t nag about masks; it’s your choice 👍🏼

i've never left a review on google before, but the welcoming atmosphere of this place made me do it! they asked very nicely if I would move tables so they could access something, and gave me a latte AND a biscotti for my trouble! everyone seems very nice, and they have a great selection of flavored drinks. a great place to work or hang out!

My husband and I absolutely Love J & S coffee!!! The coffee is awesome, super huge selection and choices for everyone! Such a home feel, down to earth atmosphere and staff takes time to get to know your favorite drink :-) I highly recommend this place!!!

Delicious muffin and great coffee! Friendly staff too! As a small coffee shop owner, I like to try different coffee shops when I’m out and about on my day off. This is the second shop I’ve stopped at in Lawrence. The first shop was awful but this one was great! I will be back!

Ok, what? What is this place doing in a strip mall on the edge of town? I’ll never go anywhere else when I’m in Lawrence. This is the friendliest coffee shop I’ve ever been to, anywhere.

Had a really great experience! It was my first time coming in alone and the staff were extremely friendly in explaining certain terms that I was unfamiliar with. Although my order was initially messed up, everyone was very apologetic and quick to correct it. Coming from limited experience in drinking coffee and only from places like Starbucks, I was overwhelmed by how much everyone genuinely seemed to care. It all makes me realize the importance of smaller businesses like J&S Coffee and I will absolutely go the extra travel time to be a regular customer. Thank you for providing excellent service and I look forward to my next visit.

Superb coffee and wonderful place to relax. The baristas are cheerful with the right touch of humour. It was crowded the morning I visited. The parking was also very crowded and could not find a spot in front of the shop. Morning seems to be busy; they had no snacks, pastries; only bagels. But my latte was superb. I would definitely return for coffee. Not sure about pastries and other goodies. Parking seemed problematic.

Have visited this coffee shop a few times. Good seating with excellent electrical outlet placement. It’s a good place to sit and work for a bit.
Service is always quick and helpful! They have a fairly large menu with specialty drinks.
They have a great latte and I really enjoy getting a London Fog with Earl Gray Tea & either vanilla or lavender!
