Everything on the menu sounded great. A wide variety from breakfast to salads, burgers, sandwiches and special of the day. The employees were very attentive and friendly. The order came out correct, the temperature was hot, but the food was bland and lacking flavor. I did not like the texture of the burger. Very disappointed since the food looked delicious.

Prices are pretty low for the great quality of food. There are usually many severs available and they are attentive to what you need. I've ordered take out before too so that's an option if someone wants to call ahead. Their menu is online too.

Excellent table service. Breakfast all day. Average food found at most family restaurants everywhere. Make sure you tell your waiter if you don't want a lot of butter on everything when you order unless you like a lot of butter.

Such good food, great service and very reasonably priced!

In fairness I arrived at a quarter of one but the buffet was disappointing. The food was dryer than I'm used to from here and parts were cold. The staff was attentive and friendly. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt as I've had great experiences here before.

For being named The Windmill Cafe in a town full of awesome little windmills, I'd say our experience was average at best. I suppose my expectations were set a little high given the name of the restaurant. The exterior was very welcoming, beautiful spot in thy heart of Pella. The interior was old, almost tacky even, with the plastic ceiling tiles but definitely clean 👌. The menu was a bit overwhelming. Eggs, skillets, pancakes, burgers, pasta, chicken.... almost anything you want. It's to much. Now on to the food... I ordered the daily special of course, lasagna. And the Mrs. had the Pella Burger with a side of fries. Lasagna was basic. Plain and simple. I noticed other items on the menu had mushrooms and I thought those would've been a wonderful addition to the dish and wondered why they wouldn't take advantage of that. It also came with a side of garlic bread which was essentially buttery toast. The Pella Burger was lacking. The patty itself was small and appeared to be from a freezer and the bun was matching. The toppings however were note worthy. Out of this world bologna that I assume comes from the meat store across the street and Swiss cheese with horseradish sauce. By the end of the meal I was full enough but missing satisfaction. With all that said I will say, the service was just fine. They did a good job with what they have to work with. Also I feel like the pricing was appropriate

Small homey cafe, ate there the morning after my wedding in 2017 and just stopped by again this afternoon. Great food, nice staff, and that old fashioned comfort food feel. Would recommend it to anyone who was in town.

Staff was great! Very busy but the staff was attentive and kept our coffee cups full for the entire meal.

Place was busy with a short line. Didn't have to wait long at all, less than 3 minutes and my wife and I were seated to an outstanding breakfast, and great wait staff. Will definitely return and highly recommend.
