Magpie Cafe & Coffeehouse

I've been coming to Magpie since I was in middle school & at the old location.

I've never once been disappointed by the service, food or staffing.

Their breakfast is delicious and the rosemary potatoes were my favorite thing on the plate! I could eat a whole mound of them.

Their lunch options are diverse and yummy. With my all fime favorite being the Porterhouse Burger. I seriously have dreams about the delicious burger.

Their drink menu is diverse but still able to do classics. Fogs, lattes, etc.

Their staff is insanely friendly, and the owner is super sweet & caring. They go above and beyond to make your experiance the best.

You will not be disappointed.

Student oriented coffeehouse, with free Wifi, so people linger in the afternoon. The baked goods were delicious. The prepared foods are delivered to your table, but you have to bus your own. Enjoy the coffee--great variety and flavor available. Nice for breakfast, lunch or a snack.

Coffee was delicious! The food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Really cool college atmosphere.

This has been a treat to enjoy for 40 years. I have never had a bad thing. The only challenge is when it's not open, OF COURSE that's when I have time to go.

Luther Sammie is delicious and unique! Excellent service in a quaint spot.

3rd time coming in for coffee. Visiting from San Francisco Bay Area to drop off my son at Luther. I was looking for a good place to get my morning coffee. Seems that I found my go to place while I am visiting Decorah. Great coffee, great service!

I came by myself and ordered a build your own burger. It tasted okay but the patty fell apart while trying to eat it. They got my order wrong by adding things I didn't want and forgetting things that I did. The staff seemed friendly but probably won't return.

The atmosphere in this spot is so cozy and welcoming. Chill music, simple lighting, warm. The staff is so kind and helpful. The food is simple, yet decadent. Centrally located. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Great coffee drinks, sandwiches and Salads. One of the few places you can get drinks with Bianca bean Espresso. However, they close at 2pm, which means no afternoon “treat” beverage. Plus, on more than one occasion I’ve pushed to get there before closing time for my favorite drink only to find it already closed ten minutes or so early (On one occasion being leered at, as I came to the door, by an employee as they locked it at 1:52)

Friendly staff and excellent service! Maggie is a great spot for lunch. Whether you're vegan or have a gluten intolerance there's options for you too!
