Magpie has "Coffeehouse" in the name, but it's so much more than just coffee. We skipped the cup o' joe and had one of the best burgers EVER! "Ole Youmans" : A 1/3# angus beef topped with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onion, mayo, & mustard on a toasted pretzel bun. (Pretzel buns are my kryptonite.)
We also enjoyed a cinnamon roll and lemonade… But not just any lemonade. A Lemon Buzz: Lemonade, bianco ESPRESSO, and a shot of lavender. A unique twist on a classic favorite. I encourage you to try it asap!
To top it off we always have excellent customer service. They're friendly, willing to answer your questions and quick to get your order. You can also order in advance and pick up right inside the door as you continue shopping downtown or head on your way to your next destination. They've truly thought of it all!

Cozy and comfortable space, good selection of food and drink. Nice complement for downtown Decorah.

The coffeehouse is loaded with charm and character from the moment you walk in. I had a delicious breakfast of eggs and bacon. Perfectly cooked food. Worth the trip!

I had the nest, my wife had the water street. I though mine was one of the better turkey sandwiches I’ve ever had. Staff seemed a hit overwhelmed, but it was pretty busy and we didn’t have to wait a long time and nobody was rude or anything. Would come back for sure.

Great coffee! Funky atmosphere (good thing). Omelette didn’t have much cheese at all but the meat was great. Sourdough toast delicious. Uncle Bill’s fav was great except it could have had more gravy on it, a bit dry. All tasted great. Friendly staff.

Magpie is one of my favorite places to eat in Decorah. We live about 30 minutes from Magpie; and I can't even tell you the number of times I've rushed out the door to make sure I get there in time to order the biscuits & gravy by 10:30! My favorite. I'm only sad they aren't offered all day! My go-to drink is their London Fog; I've never had one better. Friendly staff and such a fun, unique atmosphere.

The worst biscuits and gravy I have ever had. Don't oder. Awful
When I asked for a little mire gravy as they hardy put any on it , it would be extra charge. I could not taste gravy. All u could taste was dry butter flavored biscuits.

A wonderful, colorful, and inviting counter service restaurant. We had breakfast and it was delicious. The customer services was excellent. A lot of people was stopping for coffee and leaving. I dislike coffee, but this place was hoping for the morning rush.
