Homer's Deli And Sweetheart Bakery

Went in on Wednesday to get my one year old grandson a cupcake to have for his after dinner celebration only had a half dozen not a single one so I got them terrible terrible terrible got two cookies for him to make a mess with they were hard and disgusting and this was my first time here to purchase never ever ever again

This is the best sandwich shop in the area! Hands down!

Sweetheart Bakery is one of the Historical Icons of Clinton Iowa. Being from Clinton , I can remember this place as far back as when I was a child around the late 1970's and 1980's way before it merged with Homer's Deli. After returning to Iowa because of
living elsewhere for 31 years I got to stop by this place a few times, The people who work here are awesome and from what I could tell from what I had from here the sweets still haven't changed the way the cakes and cookies taste aren't like any other bakery where I have lived and the neapolitans? Are something all there own, the way they smell and taste. I load up and fatten up when I come here, you only live once. Homer's Deli pork sandwich with bbq sauce is good. Way back in the 1980's before Homer's relocated and merged with or bought? the bakery, IF I am remembering correctly Homer's had the Best Cheese soup and GREAT Hot dogs. ( IF I'm right) , I've wondered why they aren't on the menu anymore. Hope you guys have success as a business for a great many years and decades to come. To any one reading this please support your small local businesses and if you visit Clinton Iowa you've got to try this place out

We are from out of state and walked in to friendly staff. We tried a "new sandwich" not yet on the menu and it was delicious! The bread was so soft and it tasted so fresh! Such a great variety of desserts to choose from as well. If we return to the area, we will definitely come back for more!

This is a great locally owned business which we as a community should support. They always give great service with awesome fresh food. I have never had a bad experience here. Their staff is always friendly and greet you with a smile, which is very important.

Clinton, IA is very lucky to have Homer’s Deli & Sweetheart bakery! My family loves their sandwiches, soups, donuts and cookies! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and the staff are always so friendly! When I lived out of state, this is one of the restaurants in Clinton I missed the most!

One of the best Ruebens I've had in a long time. Don't miss the Russian rye bread! Service is quick, the homemade soups were decent, and prices were very reasonably. One of the better eats in Clinton

First timer and boy did it go great! They have signature subs or build your own. Also have 1/2 sub n soup option. Soup was amazing didn't even use crackers! Tried the blarney n it was delicious! Thumbprints were good. Even though the bakery was closed the staff came and let us pick out a treat to take home. Staff were kind and helpful! Will return.

We have only eaten at Homer's Deli a few times, but the quality of the food was great. The Sweetheart Bakery side is a must-stop whenever we get home to Clinton. The quality of their pastries, cakes, breads, and other baked goods, is fantastic! My favorite is a wonderful cake treat they call a Blarney. You haven't experienced Clinton until you visit Homer's/Sweetheart.

A nice little shop, really great sandwiches, never got anything from the bakery. But it is always busy, if the deli is full, getting your order, and having a picnic along the Mississippi is relaxing.
