My friend and I swung by this place after driving by the day before and I can happily say that this will be the first of many trips to come! The coffee was delicious, the muffins were outstanding, and it was all incredibly well priced to boot! If you're ever in the area and they're open, I highly recommend stopping in!

I normally don't complain..however, this is the 2nd time I've been in a row where I have placed a to go order and they have forgotten my food. I got my coffees, but was standing there waiting for an additional 10-15 minutes before someone had noticed and then made the food. Pretty frustrating. Good coffee and food, but really dislike being forgotten about.

Blown away by this cafe. The ambience is perfect, the service is fast and the coffee is delicious. It almost has a victorian theme, and there are so many options to choose from for seating. My chai latte was fantastic. The place was decorated superbly as well. Definitely a highlight in Cedar Rapids. A must visit - highly recommend!

Sweet and saintly addition to the Czech area. Great coffee and friendly service. Rustic euro decor and definitely a place we will return to try food!

The White Mocha and Dirty Chai are delicious! I actually prefer St. Pio's Dirty Chai to Brewhemia's. Wonderful service as well. Something to note is the menu online is incorrect in terms of food and drink options and prices (they have way more drink options than just white Mocha as displayed online and offer multiple sizes which is a plus as well) --the prices online include a delivery fee which is why they are more expensive. This is the correct menu

Our first time yesterday and will make it our regular coffee stop when we're back in town! I had the iced Mocha Latte and my girlfriend had a decaf iced latte. Both absolutely creamy and delicious! So rich! The service was impeccable. Such friendly and helpful people! We'll try lunch next time! Thank you, Pio's!

Got drinks with a friend, staff was very friendly and what we ordered was very good. High quality ingredients, and good tasting to boot. All I'd recommend is to make sure you love coffee or tea- the drink menu is a tad small but they make what they do have very well. Prices were also reasonable.

I found this place by accident looking for the Czech Slovak Museum, several years ago now. When I saw the name, I had to stop, for there must be a story here. Sure enough, there was, and not just a story, but the best cappuccino I had ever had. They do them Italian-style, just a few ounces, and not too much milk.
Ever since, I have gone back whenever I am in the area, or even near enough to sort of justify a detour! Every time, the owner recognizes me and remembers my name, even when it's been a year since the last visit. The coffee is fantastic, the food I've tried has always been excellent, and the atmosphere -- that important element of any coffee shop that makes or breaks it -- is lovely. You'll see the whole gamut of conservatives to liberals all in one building, and everyone is welcome there. The whole experience is just amazingly pleasant.
And the story! It's a good one, and a true one, and explains the name, the little statue of Saint Pio over the fridge, and the picture of Our Lady of Perpetual Help on the back wall. I won't tell it here, because it is the owner's, and I wouldn't take that from him, but ask! Ask if you are Catholic, for sure, but even if you aren't and are just interested in saints, symbolism, and the power of prayer (dare I say miracles?), ask. You will be glad you did.

Cozy location with amazing staff and great drinks. I really like their food choices, too, but would give 5 stars for some more adventurous or creative food selections. Their pastries are good, but not amazing (I prefer some of their competitors' food, but come here for the calm ambiance and great shopping/walking nearby)
