I wanted to try a new coffee spot and I was pleasantly surprised by the cool, themed atmosphere paired with a fantastic menu. There were so many great options that I didn’t know what to get. I would highly recommend the PhD for your first one. Absolutely loved this place.

Had a great experience at Coffee Apothecary! The atmosphere and decor were super fun and unique, plus the staff was friendly and helpful! The menu had a variety of pre-created flavor combinations. I tried the Halo, iced, and it was a good choice.

What an amazing local coffee spot. The decor, atmosphere, and vibe are unmatched. The owner Lindsey is one of the nicest and welcoming people, and the coffee itself was one of the best I’ve had in a long time.

I ordered the iced Ph.D with Oatmilk (to make it Dairy-free) which did not disappoint! Super rich, bright with flavor, and warm tones throughout. Can’t wait to go back and visit this super cool coffee shop during my next visit home.

I don't live far from Coffee Apothecary. I've driven by many times (often to go to Olive Tree Cafe - love me some hummus) but today in the midst of last minute Christmas shopping I needed a break for some tea and decided to stop by. I can confirm early that this was a good choice.

The interior is modeled after what can only be described as what one would imagine the interior of a late 19th/early 20th century pharmacy might look like. There's a lovely tiled "Rx" patterned into the floor right at the threshold, muted pink and burgundy paint for most of the wall coverings, and various furnishings, like ring stands, test tubes, and other glassware and books that add to the overall old pharmacy aesthetic.

The furniture, between the couches, chairs, and tables all similarly have the appearance of coming from a mix of this old time pharmacy/high school chemistry lab look. The lab table/stool I chose for my visit was surprisingly comfortable. If I were still a student, I could even see bringing a laptop here and doing student/study things here for a time.

When I approached the counter I was greeted warmly and enthusiastically by the barista (apothecary?) for my order. She answered all my dumb questions (I asked about tea at a coffee place - I know, this is a thing I do...) and I was able to get a green tea and lemon blueberry bar with relative ease. She was friendly throughout the process, and paying was similarly painless (they have functioning Google pay! That made me happy).

The green tea is a bagged variety from Reishi teas. I'd never had this before, but was surprised by its taste. For a generic green tea, it has some lovely toasted notes that hit on the back of the tongue. I'm going to have to ask them about where to get some for myself, maybe out it in the rotation at home.

All in all, I could definitely envision coming back here to relax after work, maybe even come here for a time during work from home for a change of pace. This is a unique location, both for the Quad Cities and the surrounding neighborhood. I hope Coffee Apothecary sticks around for a while. Thanks for the great tea and experience!

The person taking our order was helpful. She took the time to go through the menu. Nice selection of Coffee drinks and flavors not usual in the QC cafes I’ve been to.
The Imposter Syndrome was a pleasant surprise and the latte (cannot remember the name but it had black cherry and white chocolate) delicious.
The scone is my favorite, biscuit style, and the lemon blueberry was dense lemony goodness.
Overall lovely experience and I look forward to going back to try additional items.

This place was awesome! The decor was gorgeous and the coffee was incredible! I got the De. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and my husband got a black cherry, white chocolate latte and both were excellent.

What an EXPERIENCE. The decor and theming is great! My barista was such a kind smiley soul. And the drinks.. oh my goodness. I got a coffee flight which was 10/10 (my favorite was the PHD) and my friend got a flight of elixirs which were all fabulous, ranging from cotton candy flavor to watermelon sour patch kids. I randomly stopped here as a traveler on a cross-country road trip and it was a highlight of my trip. Thanks Coffee Apothecary! (Open a location in northern New Jersey so I can come back!)

Very nicely decorated coffee shop. Has a fun theme and the coffee is very good. I prefer cold coffee and my wife enjoys the hot specialty coffees they offer. Service was very friendly and helpful as well.

Absolutely love Coffee Apothecary. They sell and use beans from one of the best roasters in the country, Onyx Coffee Lab. Their staff is incredibly friendly and the food is fantastic. I've had their cold brew, lobotomy, and HeLa cell. The HeLa cell is no longer on the menu and was recommended by an employee. I was glad they had a drink that might encourage others to educate themselves on such an important part of scientific ethics and history.
