Great Cappuccino and friendly staff. Recommended!

It doesn’t look like much, but it is one of the best coffee places in the area. With their simple menu, they can still keep everybody satisfied. Amazing coffee and amazing unique Latte flavors.

At first my review was a 5/5 but I had to change it to something lower. While the coffee is pretty good, recently I witnessed the customer ahead of me being refused cream or milk to put in their drip coffee because this is how Zen prefers it. Yet they serve LATTES, i.e. coffee + milk.

Great coffee, great dudes. Love everything about this place. Definitely worth the drive off the path. They put a lot of time and intentionality into their roasting. A+

I'll start with the positive: This is the best coffee in the area, which is actually very disappointing considering the fact that I will no longer be supporting this business. When I asked one of the staff members—a male who, in the past has demonstrated good customer service—whether I could get a matcha latte without the sweetener, he abruptly told me "we don't do custom orders." I was surprised by the response, so I tried to inquire a bit further to determine whether reason they could not do it was because the drink was pre-mixed. He told me that was not the case, they added honey syrup to it, but that omitting the syrup would constitute as a custom order, which they could not do. I was really shocked by this and did not realize that asking for an unsweetened beverage has now become classified as a custom order. I get that this establishment is not Starbucks—even more than that, I understand and appreciate the right that the company has to put forth whatever kind of menu/environment they want—but when I can't order a simple drink without sugar (never mind the fact that I could be vegan, prone to blood sugar imbalance or simply prefer the taste of quality matcha without the addled flavor of sweetener), then I can no longer endorse the "specialty coffee shop" experience that Zen tries to purport. I'm all about quality coffee, but not at the expense of quality customer service.

This is a great place! The coffee is great!
The atmosphere is very conducive to studying. Be sure to bring earbuds because it can get a little noisy if you are really concentrating.

I had a Chia Latte and it was good. It was hot enough to be hot but not hot enough to burn my tongue which I appreciate.

Very rude customer service. I was overly nice to the workers there and was greeted appropriately. However, the barista that gave me/made my coffee was extremely rude and lacked any type of customer service.
