Several years ago, we went to Common Grounds and had an AMAZING experience. My mom has talked about what a great time she had often. So it was obvious we’d try it out again during our stay in Nashville. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t the same as years ago. They have a large menu, they even had gluten free cookies, and the woman who (I’m assuming) runs the place was very eager to please… that’s about all the positive things I can say. It is not a calm environment and the atmosphere is just not good. There is stuff EVERYWHERE and it feels extremely cluttered. I would never go here to study or take a friend here to sit, solely because of the disorderly environment. We hope next time we come to town it will be more like it was last time!

Love this little side store tea shop. I only mean it's not on the main drag and but a jewel of its own. The staff is friendly, tea is good, books, comfy seating.. kind of reminds me of a favorite aunt's spare room of eclectic trinkets etc. HOWEVER, on Saturday about noon, there is an amazing young lady who plays piano and sings. She is not to be missed!!!! She is so talented, idc if the tea shop offered you mud to drink you'd be pleasantly content to cozy on one of the couches to listen. Seriously, her voice is like silk. The first time I encountered her talent, her voice literally stopped me in my tracks. I had to stop, sit and listen. I have ADHD, I don't stop for anything!! But yes the tea, drinks etc are worth it too. Cute little shop with an extra plus on Saturday.
I'll post pics later...I'm always too focused on the music

Very comfy, cozy place to chill out. Iris, the owner, wasnt still long enough to get a good pic of her. Great place to hang out alone or have a get together. Quiche, Scones, huge cookies, etc...plus its a coffee house. One of those places that you walk in a stranger and leave as a friend.

My husband and I have spent countless hours here sipping a salted caramel ganache or a mango smoothie while working on our computers. Iris is such a sweet and caring lady and always makes us feel loved. Numerous regulars frequent this place and many memories have been made here. This is the perfect spot to meet up with a friend for a coffee and heart-to-heart chat. A visit to Brown County isn't really complete unless you stop in here.

It was an ok coffee place. We had a bit of trouble getting anyone to take our order and then she asked my (5 year old) daughter what she wanted and gave it to her without asking me first, which is kind of a pet peeve. On the other hand, all the pastries were good.

I absolutely loved this coffee shop! I spend a lot of time in small and locally owned coffee shops. Common Grounds is truly a unique experience.

The owner was welcoming from the moment we walked in and my son had a great visit she even let him take a kids book home! No better way to describe it thank how she did. “ My living room mixed with a coffee shop”.

The coffee was great and the froothies too! If visiting Nashville you should stop in and get some coffee such a cool vibe for a coffee shop!

Love, love, love this unique coffee shop! Iris is fulfilling a dream of her and her sister's. And, doing a great job! The books, the antiques and collectables, the piano you can play and the great coffee and service all make this a wonderful experience. Would like to see sugar free options on the food menu.

Great organic and fair trade coffees. There are also baked goods, scones, cookies, and even gluten free chocolate chip cookies! The shop is lined with collectibles, too! The owner, Iris, is sweet and kind to everyone... Whether you're a local or a lost tourist. Visit Iris at Common Grounds Coffee and Tea Shop, on Molly's Lane in Nashville, Indiana!

I friend and I went last week when a storm passed through. Power went out in the whole town so any place that stayed open was pretty dark and cash only. The ladies in there did their best and we got very refreshing iced coffees. Someone was playing piano and singing so wonderfully that I was sure it was a battery operated radio and was a different version of a song I knew. Seems like a lovely store, look forward to going again and seeing more of it next time, with lights and more time to enjoy the ambiance.
