Gem City is the place to be if you are looking for a great coffee/snack, friendly service, and a clean, well decorated atmosphere.

Pro-tip: Get the cinnamon roll. It’s worth every calorie. :)

Been here multiple times, taken both of my Children here with no incident. Normally the staff is very friendly. However yesterday (July 25th 2022) the Male owner decided to be unkind. My wife asked about the "specialty" for July. He said "no, not really, well technically I can, but i d rather not." Why have it listed as your special? If you aren't going to actually make it ? That soured us on ever returning. Hopefully he's nicer to other people. After reading the "response" it's a Nope. Don't advertise a special for the month. And then refuse to make it. It's really simple.

Warm atmosphere, lots of local art displayed on the walls. I don't spend $5 on a cup of coffee very often, but this place is an exception. Prompt courteous service and good coffee.

Great little coffee shop! Good coffee options, breakfast options, I've never had their lunch, and free WIFI. I've brought my work with me a few times, grabbed a seat, and enjoyed coffee while working. They have seats up front in the Cafe, but also have more tables in the back.

The cinnamon rolls will change your life for the worse. Other delicacies will sit on your tongue with a tasteless disgust as you find yourself ceaslessly comparing them all back to these morsels. These rolls must be direct shipped from someplace where angels dwell. It's hard to go on without thinking of them always.

Such a cute local coffee shop! I had an iced caramel macchiato and it was delicious! We also had an iced cinnamon bun and it was great. The interior is very inviting. They have board games you can sit and play also!

I would give Gem City a 6 star review if I could! This is by far my favorite coffee spot! I am a regular and the staff is always so friendly and the drinks are amazing. The atmosphere is welcoming and there is a great variety on the menu to choose from! Highly recommend!

It seems one must be part of a clique to be greeted and treated nicely (or is it because I choose to wear a mask and I'm being judged?). Hopefully you aren't a nobody in their eyes and stuck behind someone that is, or else you'll be waiting on their bubbly conversation to be over before being acknowledged and then find staff to be rather short and not pleasant, in my experiences (yes, plural). Hopefully your followers will keep your business alive. You've lost mine. There is potential there, but a lot to learn. And I'm a coffee junkie that purchases espresso drinks daily, who would much rather support local business over corporations . . . (le sigh)

UPDATE: I have not left multiple reviews, but edited my initial review. I did come back, to give another chance. Thanks for responding, owner, and demonstrating your true colors. Typically a business will give a sincere apology and want to make things better but looks like you'd rather not. No really, Good luck to you, your business (not plural).

Super friendly. Had a caramel frappuccino and my daughter got a caramel macchiato. Both were perfectly prepared...I don't like overly sweet coffee drinks that overpower the coffee taste. Both were perfectly balanced. Highly recommend!

This is a very cute and clean little coffee shop and deli. Very tasty, clean restrooms (at least the women's, I can't speak for the men's haha), roomy dining area, or a nice sofa to sit for a bit. Very friendly staff, who didn't laugh at my Goldilocks drink 🤣 .
We will be going here every time we are in town in the future.
