They put BUTTER in my iced chai without letting me know until they gave it to me. This is also a louder cafe not a quiet one.

Have been going here since I started graduate school five years ago and it WAS my favorite place for coffee. But ever since coming out of the COVID pandemic, they have not been up to par. I had a similar experience as other reviews with the lattes tasting burnt and lacking flavor despite paying extra for a flavor shot. The burnt flavor and aroma is overpowering. So the coffee now is OK at best and the increased prices have steered me towards other places for coffee with more affordable and tastier coffee. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is chill. But I do miss the planter boxes on the side patio that were removed during a remodel. They used to plant flowers in them and it added a great vibe to the place.

Used to be amazing back in the 90s. Still decent but definitely not as good.

Most consistent cafe on campus by far. Quality across the menu, relatively inexpensive w/ good specials, great atmosphere and location. Only place I know they'll get my order right and out quick. Also the Wifi sucks, just go sit in the band building if you really need it.

This is the best (my favorite) royale in town. Espresso drinks are never lacking. It is on the noisier side of coffee shops but that's the campus life

great place to study! lots of seating + outlet, huge drink sizes, and lots of deals. they serve their own beans!

Very bad brew coffee and latte. The employee burnt the milk while steaming so it was very hot and impossible to drink. Good atmosphere and nice seatings but definitely not worth your money. If you don’t care about coffee then you’ll be fine but overall not pleasant experience.

Coffee is not the best. Latte milk is burnt most of the time. Their seasonal specialty drinks are ridiculously expensive. But the atmosphere is cozy and the staff is always friendly.

I used to go here all the time in college. I love the upstairs! Their drinks and snacks are also great!

Great coffee. Wonderful atmosphere. You’ve got to try the iced latte with almond and vanilla flavor shots!
