Luau Coffee

Truly superb coffee and other drinks. The food is also impressive, surprisingly fresh. Owner and customers are great people, it just feels wonderful being there. Its hands down my favorite coffee place ever.

I had such a great experience at Luau Coffee! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the coffee is AMAZING! I definitely recommend this awesome small business!

I used to really enjoy coming here. However, they have decided to be a "mask free environment" during a global pandemic, putting the lives of both customers and employees at risk. I will miss stopping here before school, but I will not support a business that has so little regard for the health and well being of their community.

I would give 10 stars if I could. The food and drinks are fantastic, everything is very fresh and the meals are well balanced in a healthy way. The staff could not be more kind, and the service is consistent.
I cast my vote for freedom by supporting places like this who fight for our Liberty as Americans while our Illinois government spends our tax money on useless socialist propaganda about forced masking in America.
Our medical system has plenty of resources to take action against the flu in our country and fight to keep America free, instead our heroes are fighting for a socialist ideal.
I little research outside of our mainstream media would reveal that when the flu hit our nation in the early 1900’s masks were not helpful in containing it. That is what the media is NOT telling us. Along with many other facts.
Why are we following the communist countries instead of finding an American solution? Why is our government and medical system failing us and blaming freedom for the spread of COVID-19??

Casual and cozy coffee house with a friendly atmosphere and locally made bakery treats. It’s right off of the Great Western trail, which makes it a great pit stop when on a bike ride. They have a lots of coffee choices, so you never get bored with trying something new!

I’m very disappointed in my recent visit to Luau. This establishment states on a sign that is not visible upon entering when the door is open, “This is a mask free environment.” In addition to this, there are no social distancing protocols in place either. This is a blatant disregard to the health and safety of the members of our community (NOTE: Even if people avoid this establishment due to their safety concerns, it is a breeding ground for Covid-19, allowing customers to infect others at different *essential* businesses which those at risk cannot avoid). As an otherwise great small-owned business with a strong connection to our community, I would think they’d care enough to do their part and protect those who live in it.

They have great coffee, ice cream and fresh eggs. Also love that they have on their door this is a mask free environment enter at your own risk. Felt good to go there

Don't let the coffee name fool you. A great selection of smoothies and coffees - hot and cold. Small selection of breakfast and lunch items, all tasty. Bagels, donuts, and cookies, and Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream - prolly the best around. Stopped in on the way to Ream's, We had BLTs, and they were perfect; crisp lettuce, bacon was perfect - not brittle or chewy, and perfectly toasted. Great atmosphere, friendly and pleasant staff, clean, well lighted, tables and chairs, as well as wicker back lounging. Great place to stop while traveling North Ave/Rte 64.

Gave them only 3 stars because while the service was very friendly, and they have that familiar atmosphere of the local small town coffee shop, the coffee itself was very average. When there are several GREAT coffee shops to choose from in this general area (The Corner Grind being a prime example) Luau Coffee would not be a place I'd choose to frequent as a coffee lover.

Amazing place! Homie, relaxing, comfertable atmosphere. The coffee and food is amazing and costomer service is wonderful. When our BLTs came out we did not expect an entire plate of sandwich, fresh fruit, and chips! Sandwich tasted extremely fresh! They also have locally farmed honey, local maple syrup, and local eggs!! As well as ice cream. Will be coming back frequently!
