Luau Coffee

My wife and I went to Luau Coffee on Saturday during a bike ride. We wanted to stop and have lunch and sit outside since restaurants are opened. The new COVID-19 regulations states that employees working in a food service need to wear a mask while working. Not one employee was wearing a mask nor practicing social distancing in Luau Coffee. I even noticed one employee sneeze twice in his arm. We asked the manager about the lack of masks and our concern, we were rudely told that they were not going to abide by the law and Kane county will not due anything to enforce it.

I will never go back and hope that people who have sacrificed so much to this pandemic due the same. AVOID LUAU COFFEE - I will be lodging a complaint with the Kane County Health Department as well.

Been coming here for over a decade. Owner is one of the friendliest people in town, coffee is excellent with plenty of choices. New location is great inside with a ton of natural light.

It's such a friendly place. Always clean. Caring staff and ownership. Best place I can waste an hour. They have a small used book exchange so bring a title and your appetite, especially for latte and/or ice cream!

Food is excellent.

Iced and Hot. Just a nice place to relax and hang out.
Alot of drink choices even no coffee ones. You need to check this one out. Open for breakfast and lunch.

Changing my previous 4 Star Review to 1 star. This establishment states on a sign “This is a mask free environment.” In addition to this, there are no social distancing protocols in place either. This is a blatant disregard to the health and safety of the members of our community (NOTE: Even if people avoid this establishment due to their safety concerns, it is a breeding ground for Covid-19, allowing customers to infect others at different *essential* businesses which those at risk cannot avoid).

Their calous disregard for the community's safety has converted me from a regular customer to one who will never shop there again.

Their mask free policy disregards the safety and health of the community. Even when the pandemic is over, I will not be able to trust that Luau Coffee is a safe place to to eat.

Unique coffee & tea drinks, sandwiches with chips and fresh fruit, icecream, some homemade bakery items, fresh local eggs for sale and local honey including bees wax candles! Great service! Good place to hang out.

I've been here twice now... a great experience.
The owner takes pride in his craft and is super friendly.
