Velvet Robot Coffee Lab

Velvet Robot is our new go to for coffee! There coffee is definitely the star of the show, but their entire esthetic cannot be beat in this area. Not only is there staff knowledgeable but they are friendly and welcoming. You feel very comfortable when being there and this is not always the case in other coffee shops. Thank you so much for the delicious treats!

Just got the Rockford Peaches and Cream. I didn't expect there to still be coffee in it...but there is and it's a delectable combination. Not too fruity at all, a sweet undercurrent. The atmosphere is calming and the place is spacious. A good first visit experience.

Drip coffee was excellent, breakfast bagel was too! The space here, the whimsical sci-fi, ‘Jetson’s’, robot theme is very well done. A lot of seating and space for small work meetings.

Velvet Robot Coffee Lab has earned its place in local commerce! There is a unique atmosphere, along with delicious and creative food/coffee/beverage choices, not to mention an awesome staff, making for an enjoyable experience.

Very interesting place, more open than I thought it would b, plenty of seating, coffee was good and had the avacodo toast was also excellent. The giant skeleton was awesome to eat with as well as the skate boards and video games.

Definitely check this spot out. My food was great. My chai latte was awesome. Great place to come with friends to hang out or to get some work done, which is what I'm doing.

Really cool spot! I love all the space, the design, and the overall atmosphere. Definitely a great place to chill with friends (ping pong, anyone?) or get some work done with a great drink. The coffee and food is really yummy! My go-to place for the best oat milk latte in town!

My assistant and I had a great morning on a rainy day enjoying the coffee and ambiance of the Coffee Lab! Really cool decorations, some old school arcade games and a ping pong table, a huge open space, and really friendly staff! I do have pictures but will have to upload them later. We really had a great time just relaxing and strategizing for our Friday morning meeting! I had a Bloody Valentine (white mocha strawberry) and Jenn had a Mocha Coconut Coffee. Both were very good, as was my bagel with cream cheese. Highly recommend spending a morning there to relax!

This place is the best kept coffee shop secret in Rockford!

The coffee is always great, when I come in the morning there is almost never a wait. I LOVE the Lavender White Mocha as an iced latte. I have tried a few of the breakfast items and highly recommend the lox bagel, super delicious and always fresh!
