Coffee Cup Family Restaurant

Went here with my mom who is little older. We wanted to try something new in the area. We heard they had good breakfast. The waitress asked if we were ready to order. My mom said politely "the menu is so big, we don't know what to order yet." The waitress replied with "well I suggest you figure it out."
It was super rude. My mom got a little embarrassed by the comment. We decided to stay and eat anyways. The waitress came back finally after 15 minutes and part of my order was wrong. She fought with me and insisted I had ordered it wrong. How do your order scrambled eggs wrong?!?! You messed up and gave me sunny side.
She made a comment to another waitress and said "some people should just go to mcdonalds and not waste my time."
SOOO RUDE!!! We asked for a manager but the waitress insisted they were not in.

Windows and Shades are so dusty and dirty it's gross thinking the health dept will fine them soon

I stopped in here for breakfast and got biscuits and gravy. It was processed heat and serve food which wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The service was good and the atmosphere is nice.

Nice mom n pop place. Family friendly, and breakfast offered all day. Good comfort food. Very busy on weekend mornings! It's hit or miss, on service/hospitality, as far as the waitresses go.

My lunch was very good. Stop here if ever around this area. Pleasant small town. My home town is near by and that's Ottawa Illinois. On the river.

The best breakfast I've had within a 100 mile radius, and affordable too! Cheaper and higher quality than any of the other diners I've been to in rural Illinois

The food is alway good and hot. The wait staff is very friendly and nice. The head waitress is not the best she could be more friendly but I still give the cook staff 5 stars.

I really liked this restaurant. Not much to look at on the outside but the inside is newly renovated and sleek, like that of one of the bigger chains. Ordered the steak and eggs, which came as a skillet (a mistake maybe?) but nonetheless was delicious. Asked for the steak medium and it was in fact not cooked to death like other places would normally do. All the other food was great as well.

The best breakfast & service! Brittany was so amazing. Kind, professional, and she worked her tail off taking care of the entire dining room. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I will be back! Thank you! 😁👍

Lunch was very good, I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich it was one of the best I've had. Reasonable prices, nice quiet restaurant
