Frank makes it his duty to meet and get to know every customer. He greets many people by name. The coffee quality is excellent. I drink mine black, so I don't have personal experience with the many different coffees on the menu.
There are a large variety of Donuts, pastries and breakfast items available. There are also numerous flavors of Ice Cream on the extensive menu.
The atmosphere is friendly and very relaxed. There are many customers who visit Area Coffee regularly. They make newcomers feel welcome. There is outdoor seating available in good weather and a new Mundelein mini park next to Area Coffee.
All veterans are welcome on Tuesday afternoons at 4:30 for free coffee and snacks sponsored by Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation.
On Friday evenings, Area Coffee hosts Open Mic Night.

Very friendly and personable, cute location with lots of uniqueness. Visiting from out of state but will definitely be back. Loved my salted caramel mocha latte!!

When I went in, the guy working helped me figure out what to get and gave me a few suggestions. It was my first time there. I got their cinnamon dolce latte with almond milk. Quite frankly it was DELICIOUS. He made it so well. Sadly I never asked for his name so I'm not sure who he was but, whatever your name is, that coffee was wonderful, so thank you for your help, and the delicious coffee:)

Number 1 local spot for a friendly community and spectacular hot and cold drinks. Delicious choice of local artisan treats!

Excellent little local coffee shop. The coffee was the best tasting I've had in a long while, the service was friendly and the music was young and hip. Looking forward to my next visit.

It's a great place. I got one of their shirts, and they also sell lip products, mugs, oils, and word boards. They have meals now as well and have a section of gluten free options in addition to the regular sweets. Good price for the coffee - only about $4. I've like almost everything I've tried there.

Nice, friendly hometown coffee shop. Independently, locally owned, they take the time to get to know you and your favorites. Bakery items always a good choice to go with your coffee. They have some locally made items for a gift or yourself. Support your neighbors, invest in your community. I will continue to be a patron for life!

First Time Visiting This Coffee Shop. Amanda greeted us with a warm smile and great service. She was helpful with answering all our questions about the menu and offered many suggestions. I had The Tiramisu in a Cup, It was Delicious! Amanda's suggestion to put it on ice was perfect for the Hot Summer Day. My group and I explored the quaint shop and loved all the outside seating options. Their outside seating is Beautiful, Clean and Spacious. Love what they have done with this space, truly unique! Visit this place and you will not be disappointed, tell Amanda her State Farm Team says Let's Gooo!!

Cute little place. Has a few different things besides coffee. Super sweet girl who works there let us in even though it was about to close. Told us to take our time. We got ice cream & enjoyed the great outside seating.
