Stompin' Grounds Cafe

We moved to the area around 3 months ago and drop by Stompin Ground most weekends. We have typically had great service and enjoyed the coffee (best in the area!) and food. I visited today with my son for lunch and it wasn’t quite right. The coffee order was wrong - hot rather than iced. The barista was apologetic which I appreciated and we moved on - no problem at all. We had ordered some sandwiches and waited a long time (solid 20 - 25 minutes) - note it wasn’t busy. I asked how the sandwiches were progressing and received an unenthusiastic response. No update was provided. Waited another 15 minutes and finally received them with no apology or care what so ever. 30 mins+ wait when not busy is just too long! While waiting the staff were in the kitchen talking and having a good time - no one was paying attention to customers. I was a little annoyed with the whole experience. I hope Stompin Ground Cafe can take this feedback constructively and improve as you are about as close to an Australian cafe as we have in the area that reminds me of home! We will continue dropping by with the hope that the service is improved next time.

Big fan of this Lake Zurich gem. Great coffee and love that they have aciai bowls. It feels like you're in a Hallmark movie from the moment you walk in. Friendly service and at times can be busy but it's worth the wait.

The coffee shop is pretty cool. Great food and drinks. The only problem is the parking. There is not much by the shop and the last time I was there the owner from the neighboring store was harassing me for parking in front of his store even though there was no explicit sign that it was dedicated.🤷🏻‍♀️

Tuesday night live music in a local joint -- Wonderful! Counter service, excellent coffee (hot, iced, espresso, mocha) and delicious cheesecake. They serve wine and light bites for the evening. Next time, we'll try the savories.

Love all the coffee/dairy free/gluten free options. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

We used Stomping Grounds as our caterer for a morning event. They provided a wonderful variety of scones, muffins and cookies as well as excellent coffee that were a hit with our guests. Thank you!!

Love this place. Swiss water processed decaf, unsweetened almond milk, and unsweetened cold foam and even unsweetened vanilla. Easy to have keto friendly coffee here.

Found this place when I was working in Lake Zurich a few months ago and loved it. I’ve come back whenever I work in the area. Great coffee and really nice staff!

Lovely little coffee shop. They offer common coffee drinks as well as so.e very original lattes (like cardamom rose, and some with lavendar).
