Delightful local roaster. The staff are attentive, pleasant, and efficient. A good variety of options for food and drinks. I ordered cold brew one day. I returned the next day and had a great drip coffee and the cold brew shake for my friend. Well- explained quality products with locally sourced ingredients. Reasonably priced whole bean coffee as well. My questions and comments were not an inconvenience to the staff who were very helpful.

I loved how clean this place was! Everything is white so you would know if it wasn’t but they keep this place looking amazing.

I loved the aesthetic and simplistic menu, I went with the sparkling matcha but definitely will be back to try other menu items

It certainly looks cool and stylish inside. The servers are friendly and the service fast.

But, at the end of the day it’s about the coffee, and Newport Cafe just doesn’t seem to have the skill yet. It’s like I was drinking warm milk.

Luckily, better tasting coffee can happen as the team maybe gets some more experience.

Wonderful dirty Chai. Beautiful building and friendly staff. Stop by when in Evanston you won't be disappointed.

Everything about this cafe is beautiful- the color choices, the font of the menu, and the display of the available bakery items. Drinks and food were also very good.

If you want coffee from people that know and care for coffee, this is your place. Clean and fresh designed shop, expertly roasted fresh beans and amazing pastries and baked goods. Their specialty menu looks amazing but haven't tried any of the drinks yet. Have my eye on the Ligonberry Cold Brew. Staff is gracious and friendly. We will be back!

I loved this coffee shop immediately with its beautiful minimal, clean design, creative coffee and tea drinks and comfortable vibes. They have the best vegan scone I've ever had in the city. It only got better and better as we got to know the staff who are simply LOVELY. We look so forward to our visit every week and are really grateful for this team of coffee professionals.

I had a knot looking pastry and a cold brew. The pastry was a bit raw and thus a little nasty. Cold brew was alright. Very mellow. Add in the ridiculous signs they have at the tables and this place is a big NO for me. If you don’t want people sitting around then make it a table service restaurant. Having that at the tables (1 hour limit) is off putting and disgusting.

meh. fast service the best thing here. also looks kind of cool & modern if you're into that. expensive relative to comparable places, so there must be a reason...

i tried the oat maple cold brew. it was just ok - not strong enough & a bit too sweet. ironic because this particular cold brew is advertised as extra strong (and why I decided to get this particular drink).

in my experience colectivo has had the best coffee in the NU area.

Very impressed with the quality of pour over and espresso drinks I got here. They use one of the best espresso machine (slayer) in the market, and for a local coffee shop in a college town, this is just truly amazing. I could tell that baristas are very well-trained when pulling a shot of espresso. For single origin pour over, they have a very high quality machine that makes it consistent every time. Overall a must-visit place for specialty coffee lovers in town!
