This was the PERFECT meeting place for my co-worker and I to meet in person for the first time in a year and a half! They had a GREAT outdoor seating area with umbrellas. They had complimentary wifi. The drink I ordered (windy city chai [I think]) was new and yummy. I would highly recommend as an outdoor meet up space.

My only critique would be that I don't believe the staff cleans the tables outside regularly. When not in a pandemic, that would be fine. While still in a pandemic, it might nice to do a quick wipe through every so often. Otherwise, patrons bring a Iysol wipe or two with you, if worried.

It was our very first time trying this and I’m telling you, you’re better off drinking gas station coffee cuz I’m sure you’ll get better service there. They don’t even clean the tables and roll their eyes when ask to clean the table. I ordered an “impossible” burrito which had one SMALL piece of the impossible patty and the rest of the burrito was filled with JUST egg and they charged me 9$ for it. This place is a frikkin sham. Do not go here if you really care about your money.

I'm a downtown Evanston 9-5er, always in search of great lunch spots with my co-workers.
I've ordered the bowls for lunch - VERY tasty, but portions are too small, so I am still hungry after. There's so much room left in the container, too! For the same price at the Chipotle across the street you can get a similar meal with twice the food.

They did a much better job attending to my needs and I didn't feel like I didn't belong because of my race and if I did, it wasn't the staff. Actually, I've had more fun here then say Starbucks. I understand that Northwestern students frequent this place. They are genuine here.

Convenient location and definitely my favorite coffee around. The staff there is so friendly and helpful. I didn't realize that Colectivo also has teas, which I'm excited to try. Seating area is cozy-looking and almost every table was full with people on computers, working, or reading books when I stopped by on a Thursday morning around 8am.

Delicious coffee, solid wifi, great vibe, cool mugs. I moved back to Chi from Milwaukee a few years ago and I'm really glad they've migrated south! I like to study here - lots of little tables and pretty decent number of outlets for charging. Kind of obvious since it's a coffee shop not a library but bring headphones if you're not a skilled tuner-outer. And just to emphasize - truly delicious coffee.

Great coffee and food! The only downside to this location is there is scarce parking and it is always packed to the brim inside. I do appreciate that they have tables designated for minimum of two people to share so it’s not only people on their laptops. Always friendly service!

Truly overrated. I don’t see the big deal. Very strangely described menu. Very strangely assembled selection. Everything is more expensive than can be found at other cafes in town. Also, people come and sit for hours and it’s often difficult to find seating. I never come here unless it’s at the insistence of someone else.

Great place but not able to sit inside... Neither bathrooms are open to the public.

I was so super happy when I found the Colectivo in Lincoln Park, that I went there at least 3 times a week in the summer to study or just chill. The coffee isn’t to die for but the staff cared about how it was prepared, which made all the difference. The Lincoln Pk location has the best vibe...Evanston not so much and I live in Evanston, which sucks. Most of the staff are friendly and accommodating. However, managers with curt attitudes, poorly executed food preparation and NO diversity in staffing sends a clear message that Evanston’s location is sub par. They have gotten rid of popular food items, and almost always have a line with only one register open. Their excuse, home office changeover. Well it would seem the changeover has a team that has chosen to turn what was once a great regional coffee spot, into a regional chain that, per the usual puts profit over customer service and authenticity.... on its way to Starbuckstown 🤮Thank goodness Evanston has so may coffee shops to choose from. Colectivo lost this once loyal costumer.
