The waitress was kind and quick to take our order. We ordered biscuits and gravy with an egg and bacon to share and it was all very good. My husband did order an orange juice and did not receive it and that's why I scored a 4 rating. The diner has a nice small town feel which we adore, we will be back. BTW this is not fast food and it does take a few minutes to come out of the kitchen, I recommend bringing a friend to talk with as you wait.

Very surprised on how good the food is here. I ordered a Patty Melt and let me tell you what, it was AWESOME to say the least. And it was a big sandwich

Our waitress, a young lady was polite and very entertaining. She made it a good experience. Food was ok. VERY expensive for the small amount of food. Don't think I would be a return customer. The cook didn't know the difference between white and dark meat of the chicken.

If you are wanting some really good country style food an affordable place to eat. Then this is your place to go. I had lived in du quoin for many years and this was always the go to spot if you could not make a decision on what you wanted or you were just really craving country food. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the staff is always so welcoming. I would highly recommend their hot chocolate their mexi Oscars and of course any of their breakfast food.

My experience tonight was great, the place here has been up since the 50's and its very classy. Checkered floors and nice walk-in retro. The vibes here were very nice and the food was great. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a seven up. It depends on how cheap you want to go because there prices are great but some of the dishes you have to pay extra for a side. Ordering a special with extra cheese or veggies would be the best option to go with for prices because there is a way to get around it.😁😁😁

Terrible 45 minutes just for cheese cubes. Server and kitchen arguing people cancel orders and walking out. Tried once never again. Where food and energy go to give up. Bathrooms with pee covering around floor and smelled of urine heavily. Maybe less playing around In the kitchen more time focused on speed and quality would do this place justice.

Food is usually pretty good and there is a decent menu selection with breakfast all day.
There aren't many places to sit because of the regulars who just sit around and chat all day The places you can sit are usually dirty because the place is so short staffed.
Speaking of short staffed, it takes longer than most places to get your food, even for a small order. That's considering after the wait for someone to even take your order. You'll probably be here for 20 - 30 minutes before you get your order, so if you're here on lunch hour then good luck.
The employees seem more concerned with conversations amongst themselves or using their cellphones than caring about the unreasonably long wait time and servicing customers. Seems to be a fault in management for not instilling good work ethic amongst their high school aged employees.
Again, the food is better than an average diner and prices are reasonable, so that's a saving grace. Ultimately a place of wasted potential due to what appears to be a lack of staff

I really wanted pancakes but found the only breakfast meal with pancakes had silver dollar pancakes. It also came with biscuits and gravy. One bite of those light, fluffy biscuits and I forgot all about the pancakes! The biscuits were so good, it was a shame they smothered them in sausage gravy. Great service and quick turnaround on my order. Prices are very reasonable. I'll be back. Highly recommend.
