Cast Iron Coffee

Out of this world coffee! Cozy locally owned shop with comfortable, calming space to chat with chai or gaze out the picture windows watching clouds or snowfall! In from Louisiana, visiting our Grad School Husky, & this was a warm welcome!

Sunday afternoon visit driving through town and had to stop. Barista was welcoming and latte/cappuccino’s were tasty and well priced. Space was simple and welcoming. Only tricky part was finding it as we drove by. I’m sure business is good during the days when school is in session. Glad we visited!

A really great, wide open coffee shop with tons of seating and some delicious drinks and treats. This is some of the best coffee I've had.

Kyle and Daria are awesome! Also, just had a coffee toffee and it tasted awesome! Their place is super cute. You can purchase t-shirts, mugs, and gift cards. They are also offering curbside pickup from your car if you go around back. So, if you were in the area and wanted to order ahead of time, just give them a call.

Their Honey Lavender iced coffee was amazing! My husband had a strawberry banana smoothie, and my son ordered a Carmel iced coffee. We all enjoyed our choices. The staff were friendly and engaging. Great place to grab coffee with friends and sit and catch up! Will definitely be back on future trips to NIU.

Loved their huskie latte! Good coffee with friendly service. We stopped in for a quick coffee and loved their seating area as well. If you are into lattes, their huskie latte is sweet but still a good espresso drink. Good combination of coffee and raspberry flavor. Good study spot if you are a student as well!

Beautiful independent coffee shop in a small town. Very good coffee. We ordered lattes which were strong, creamy, aromatic and well balanced. The barista paid attention to details and is very nice. We have been here a few times whenever in Dekalb and never disappointed. Highly recommended!

Very chill place and nice service, nice college campus vibe place, i had hot coco and a muffin and they were both great, 2 people with 2 drinks and 2 muffins was around $15 which i guess isnt too bad, overall would come again

New place in the area. The latte had a fresh taste and you can tell thy keep their machine clean as the espresso shots were full and rich. The batista was by herself, but she cranked out the orders with ease. Highly recommend. Also a refreshing atmosphere away from the regular mass market coffee shops. Small business is great!

I live out of state and stopped at this coffee shop to grab a quick cup to go. This place has amazing coffee! The inside is cozy and welcoming and the owner was friendly and inviting. Their menu has a lot to offer including a selection of fantastic tasting instant coffees - yes, instant coffee that tastes good! If you spend anytime in your car or have a need for a to go cup, you have to get one at Cast Iron Coffee. It has the perfect shape to fit in any cup holder, holds a significant amount of coffee, keeps my coffee hot and has an easy to open/close lid which is key for when you're driving. I can't wait to come back to town and stop by again!
