Aroma is a great little coffee and wine bar for a quick meet and greet or a latte. I enjoyed seeing light foods from the kitchen with plenty of leafy greens. The place has an upscale aesthetic.
It definitely feels more like a “chick” place. It had a yoga sessions the night I was there, and it is attached to a salon. However, I’m a guy that spent plenty of time there and felt very comfortable. Staff is all very friendly and they seem to know most of the regulars.
Stop in for a coffee and a pastry and I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourself.

My baby shower was hosted by Aroma! Everyone on the team was helpful and made it a wonderful celebration! Menu was totally customizable for a private event and service was wonderful and attentive.

Visited my brother's favorite place. Totally impressed! Expansive menu with lots of gluten free options. Had the cauliflower flatbread with figs and prosciutto and was awkwardly moaning b/c it was so tasty. Washed it down with a pineapple cider. Was there for a solid 2+ hours board gaming. Can't think of any other place I would be encouraged to linger that long. Super friendly staff.

Dawn and all the staff are the greatest. I love their Chai lattes and the overall atmosphere of their establishment. Plus they host monthly dinner with wine pairings that my husband and I LOVE!

Finally found this cafe and I cannot wait to come back again. The vibe is great, the coffee and food is delicious, and the staff so polite

What Central Perks is to the show “Friends”, Aroma is to the Downtown area of Crystal Lake. When you go there, you’re bound to either run into someone you know or make new friends.
The staff is super friendly and the owner has done a really great job creating a space that is warm and inviting. Its a great place to enjoy some drinks with friends after work or read, work, study or just enjoy lunch with good friends. The food they offer is phenomenal and Dawn does a great job of curating a unique selection of wines.
I highly recommend you check it out if you have not been yet.

Those who like coffee and atmospheric places should visit this coffee shop. I’d like a little more dessert and local pastry 🥐

I walked in at exactly 9:30 and was refused a cup of coffee even though they are open until 10. This was my first time coming here and unfortunately will be the last. Change your hours to when you stop serving. Reply: I understand your response and appreciate it. But to clarify, I was not offered anything at all. I was dismissed before I even got a chance to talk. I'll remove my post as I understand the staff may have been going against your policy and I try to support local businesses. But please know your staff member was not hospitable in any way.

I visit AROMA every Tuesday and they have provided me with a place to chill, do work, and enjoy wonderful food and coffee. Has a great locally feel and host a lot of cool events. A few friends of my even work here and it's brilliant to visit with them everytime I drop in.

Soooo wonderful. I was a bit confused because Google maps said they were open on Monday but their door sign said they were closed — they ARE open on Mondays. Anyway, it’s a truly incredible space - lots of different seating options and good lighting and decor. Great for gathering with friends or getting some serious work done. Definitely a beautiful aesthetic. The coffee is great quality - I had a cortado. I also tried the Millennium toast and it was definitely worth it.
