Amazing coffee shop! Parking outside, they have matcha and chia (for my tea drinkers), lots of pastries, and accepted my reusable cups. You have to try the Greek pies - ham and cheese was my favorite! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Do yourself a favor and don't go here. I have been going here about 3 times a week since they opened. One day I ask for an extra cup so I can share the coffee with my wife. The clerk rudely refuses and said she will have to charge me. I was shocked and walked out. If this is how they treat customers this is not a store that you should patronize. Luckily Fairgrounds is opening just down the road. Never again.

I wanted to love this place. The baristas were super friendly and the Aesthetic is amazing, but my espresso was very bitter and the latte my girlfriend got was $7. Just because it was a seasonal drink and had milk substitutes.
Cannot recommend.

I love stopping here before work everyday! The coffee is great, and the staff is even better! I used to pre-order on Ritual, but now I like to order in person so I can have a chance to talk to the staff more. It doesn't hurt that they also have the best spinach & feta hand pies in town :)

Cute new coffee shop. Very nice staff. Would highly recommend the iced matcha latte (sweet but not too sweet) and their cold brew. House-made pastries were great too! Happy to see another cool coffee shop opening in Chicago!

This is hands down the best coffee shop I’ve ever been too! The staff is amazing and super informative about any questions i had. The coffee is amazing, and the spinach pies are out of this world.

Over the weekend, I had a chance to visit the new location of Ground Up Coffee & Bites in River North. What they have done with the space is amazing. I love the color screen of golf and black. However, the star is, of course, the coffee. The last time I was there, I ordered the iced latte with oat milk. The coffee was great. It had a rich flavor and the latte was made to perfection. It was very creamy. I also tried this one of their specialities, the spanakopita. It was warm, flaky and delicious. The spinach flavor was very good. I heard it’s a recipe straight from the mother and grandmother of the owner who live here n Greece. There is a lot to love above these two coffee shops. The River North location is a must visit.

Shoddy espresso pulled from burnt beans, and poor customer service to boot. Asked to sub my bitter, butchered doubleshot for a small drip coffee and was rudely denied. I guess they deem 8 oz of coffee to be more valuable than helping someone regret deciding to try somewhere new a little less...
I drink black coffee and straight espresso. Not syrupy lattes. So if you're someone who appreciates Real Craft Coffee, as opposed to milk and sugar with a hint of Java, check out Heritage or Fairground. Mere blocks away, with better baked goods and food options as well.

The staff working today 4/2/21 were just a delight. They definitely put in a lot of care and pride into their product and service.
Highly recommend an Iced Chai Latte with your milk of choice. The apple fritters are excellent as well.

Staff is very friendly and inviting. Chocolate croissant was delicious! Specialty drinks are unique and also very good. Highly recommend!
