One of the best coffee shops in Chicago. The manager Mo is great and all the baristas at the Erie location are amazing! Ham and cheese pie is a must, also try the half light espresso in the lattes or cappuccino! Praying that the spinach pie spiral version comes back!

Amazing service!! Took the time to explain different types of coffee they had available along with the pastry options. Blueberry muffin was superb.

The espresso is great. On my way out, I told one of the baristas that it was the best I've had "in ages." re-thinking it later, I'd say it's the best I've had "ever."

I moved to the neighborhood this summer, and after walking around with a friend we decided to try out Ground Up. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They explained what type of milk I should get with different types of coffee, and I could tell that they take pride in what they do. No one before had taken the time to walk me these pairings, so that was incredible.

Since that first time, I now have become a regular! I’ve taken multiple of my friends here and no one has been anything less than obsessed. Their coffee is amazing, their bites are great, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Excellent coffee, tea, service and ambiance! The staff are so friendly and always remember returning customers. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about coffee and will help you learn more and/or make your coffee decisions. This and the original Van Buren location are our "go-to" places for several years and we have not found any place better!

Best Freddo Espresso I've had outside of Greece
