This is our second visit and the food is fantastic! The service is excellent and we've had the same waitress both times. Worth every penny for good food. Way better than the local greasy spoon that has given up on making homemade food and went straight to frozen and prepackaged slop. If 90% of the food here is not somewhat homemade then they are fooling me. We drive from Christopher just to eat here.

Me & my daughter tried them for the 1st time , and we wish we would have been went. The service was superb, atmosphere comfy and pleasant, food quantity & quality BEST I'VE HAD IN CARBONDALE!!!! We both had the hearty breakfast, and we left overfilled and smiling. I was so amazed with going ordered a to go order for my son for later. :) :) :)

I tried this place a couple months ago because I didn’t feel like making breakfast and came across an unknown treasure. The food is cooked fresh and the fruit and yogurt are always fresh and delicious too. Their biscuits and gravy are my very favorite.
My other favorites are the Big Bite Breakfast, Berry Yogurt Bowl, Famous Hearty Breakfast, Big Breakfast Sandwich, Eggs Benedict was perfection and for lunch I’ve had their Cali BLT with a side salad - it was the perfect size to fill you up, and eat more later. Delicious 🍅 and 🥑 . They have suchhhh good smoothies too!

We wanted to try a local diner, and after driving by and seeing a line at Harbaugh's we called ahead to Sunny Street to make sure they weren't busy and decided to try it out.
We got there before any rush, and waited as we watched another table get seated, get their drinks, and place their orders before someone stopped by to fill our coffee when they realized we didn't have cups yet.
Long story short we finally get our food an hour and a half after arriving. After our food arrived we still had to ask for silverware (I'd been just swishing my coffee mug to stir it). Our food was cold, and they offered to remake it but it was already almost lunch and the place was getting crowded, so we opted to eat our cold skillets / omelette instead.
The food looked really, really good, but my skillet just tasted like cold potatoes. They gave us our drinks (a juice & coffee) free, but honestly I can't imagine eating there again given the other local options we have. By the time we'd gotten our cold food, we could've waited in line anyplace else and probably still had our food faster.

Great food and outdoor seating on a gorgeous day! The chicken and waffles was decadent delight!

I go there on Saturdays for breakfast and order an alteration of their Rueben sandwich replacing meat with eggs. Today their Chef Tim made the best Egg Rueben for me.

Freshly made food. I enjoy the homey atmosphere here. The owner is always about talking to everyone. My favorite is the corn beef hash. Its made in house with a family recipe and you can taste the love. Oh and the baked goods are fresh and baked in house. Yummmmmm.

I was very pleased with the food I ordered but didn't realize there was a lot of food. It was very delicious and ended up taking the rest of it home. The server extremely friendly and very nice, she did an awesome job!!

The food, service and price were excellent. My orders always vary from the menu listings and they definitely accommodate. They know how to run a restaurant.
