Sunny Street Cafe

Visiting from Florida. Tasty food and great service! Much better than the other breakfast spot we tried last week.

I didn't have high expectations. I assumed it would but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, cute atmosphere

Staff where fast and polite. The building had a good vibe to it. However, the stuffed biscuits and gravy gave me a nasty case of food poisoning.
Needless to say, I will not be going back.

What a hidden gem this cafe is. I decided to stop in for a take-out order. I went inside to place my order instead of calling. The lady at the front desk was very polite and assisted me with my order.

I ordered the famous “Hearty Breakfast.” This breakfast was very filling with two eggs, two pancakes, three bacon pieces, and a side of your choice. I had the crispy home fries. ($10)

I waited no more than ten minutes, and my order was correct and delicious. Take a look at the photos and then go try it yourself.

I love this place. Food is good, never had an upset stomach after eating here. The kitchen looks clean, this is highly important. All of the staff is great, except for one server who came to my table of 3 to single out 1 of us as "you look great!" She did this 3 times in 1 minute. I texted my husband while she commented on just the one of us "I can't wait to sit in her section and see her face when we leave one rusty old penny for a tip." But nothings perfect and I'll never sit in her section. The owner is nice and friendly.

When you go inside it's Bright and Sunny, it's like wakings from a good night sleep, stretching you arm, open the curtains to let the Sun in, when you open the doors to Sunny Cafe. Waitresses friendly and kind, she was always on time when my coffee was low, and fast with my order, but I do got to take my hat off to Dell the Cook, That was DELICIOUS my friend.

This is one of the BEST kept secrets in Carbondale. I've been living here five years and just recently started going and I can't believe how good everything is!! Literally ANYTHING on the menu, what a find!! The manager even comes out himself too greet you and check on your satisfaction, what a gold nugget of a spot!

We stopped in today for the first time. Great food and great service. Was a bit pricey but overall it was a good experience and we will be back!

Food is delicious!

Hostess/waitress was all smiles, but she was rude and condescending when speaking to me. They were short staffed, which I empathize with since I've worked food service, but it was no reason to take out her frustration on me.

Will most likely order out since their food is amazing, but I'd rather avoid employees that dish out their aggravation on others.

Scrambled eggs good. English muffins untoasted, bacon a bit overdone, fruit too ripe. Have to be more picky w/ordering how I want food done w/hostess next time there.
