Winter Ridge Natural Foods

They have a beautiful selection of baked goods and pastries, but if you're getting the chocolate croissant thinking there's going to be more than one tablespoon of chocolate in it you will be disappointed. The croissant itself was good, but there was literally one tablespoon of chocolate in the entire thing. At $4, I would expect more.

Excellent organic grocery store. As with anything carrying the organic label, prices are elevated. Staff were amiable and talkative. Variety was great. The only hangup I have are the prices.

I’ve been shopping health food stores for over 50 years and Winter Ridge needs some help with their inventory. It’s great to see all the bulk they offer however it’s evident there’s no rhyme or reason behind placement of items on the shelves. As an example, they have food items right across from the cleaning supplies. Granted everything is contained but it just doesn’t make sense; the placement?! Personally I’ve also worked as a manager to a vitamin store, owned my own health store and was also a general manager to a small health store like Winter Ridge so I’m aware of the challenges but know there are ways to work with small spaces to attain a better feel to a store. I hope with their new Director we will see better improvements. As for the staff. Well, interesting people but not professional at all. You can always tell by the staff how management runs their store. I guess it works for them?! I’ll continue to purchase online since they don’t carry much in their inventory. There’s nothing worse than asking an employee if they have something to get a response “I’ve never heard of that before! Are you sure that’s the product?” When you know for a FACT what you’ve been using for years. It’s just another “whatever” moment dealing with retailers.

This is a wonderful store! Competitive prices! They always have a great and wide selection of fresh organic produce, very high quality.
Lots of local items, not just food and beverage, but also fun stuff like puppets and cute lunch boxes, beautiful candles/inscence and holders etc.
They just have such a wonderful selection of things!
Very large section of vitamins & minerals and hygiene products. It is just like a regular grocery store, such as Super One Foods, only it is smaller in size and it is mostly organic, and it's local!
Their bakery is TOP NOTCH. I go there every day. They have something new every day. If there is one item in specific you like, you just write a note and drop it in their suggestion box. They have fresh made pizza doughs and pizzas, take-n-bake enchiladas (even gluten free options!).
They also have a small cafe with gluten free options, and a hot bar/salad bar.
Seriously love this place. Highly recommend!

I have only gotten to know this store within the past year. They have amazing selection of bulk foods, particularly spices, different flours, legumes, and rices.
They have an amazing selection of cheeses and their bakery is almost the only one in Sandpoint that bakes croissants other laminated pastries from scratch.

This is our favorite place to stop and we do so frequently. I am obsessed w the gluten free carrot muffins! Can I have the recipe 🥰?

I thought condescending organic food store workers were some fodder for stereotypes but I'd never actually experienced it first hand. Calm down guys, it's Missoula, what's there to be so annoyed by? Be nice. Be helpful. Be pleasant. That goes for all of you. I interacted with 4 workers. Each the same tone and subtle annoyance and condescension. May be it's a work culture thing. They seemed pleasant with regulars though. But that I'll never be.
