This place is wonderful for tasty food. Owner is fine with you making up an entree if not on menu. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with 2 eggs. It was perfect! Husband also fine tuned his breakfast. Weโll be back! Great apple cider too!

When you visit the Apple Barrel Deli and Bakery expect a very friendly atmosphere. You feel at home right away, if you're looking for a wholesome experience this is the place for you. Do not come here if you are in a hurry, however if you are looking to sit down and enjoy some gospel, great company, and a wonderful homecooked meal you will be welcomed in with warm smiles and great service.

How refreshing to find a restaurant with real homemade food in Mountain Home. The owner Jeff and his wife are delightful, friendly and put you at ease immediately. Started with warm apple cider which was very tasty and great on a cool day. Tried the tomato basil soup which is clearly homemade and very good. No overpowered basil taste or thick tomato base. Well balanced flavor. Also comes with homemade cornbread. I also had the pastrami sand. and the meat was tender, bread was perfectly toasted and big enough to fill you up. I may over use the word homemade but that is the point at Apple Barrel. You can taste the pride in their food. I have never posted a review before, but I felt this place deserves it. Well worth a try In my opinion.

It's always such a treat when we go to Apple Barrel. My wife and I love to play I spy while we're talking and waiting for food. Last time we were there I had a French dip sandwich that was to die for. They make everything in house the bread, the pastries, and many soups and salads during the day. I also had a cup of chicken and corn chowder that was fantastic. My wife had a cup of chicken and dumpling soup and a small salad. We love coming here and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Always five stars.

We stopped in here on your trip from Boise to Salt Lake. It was a quick detour off the highway. The quaint, feel-right-at-home bakery/cafe was DELICIOUS. My husband got the turkey, bacon, ranch panini and I got the Green Smoothie. We also got an Apple Pull-apart and the owner whipped up a pancake for my daughter which I ate half of because it was the best pancake Iโd ever had!
Stop in and tell Jeff hi and try a soup, sandwich and sweet treat!

Great food, owners, and atmosphere. Tried the new hotdogs he added to the menu and they were great!!!!!! Foot long all beef, and you can load it with anything you want!!!! I also had his homemade beef veggie soup and it was delicious. Packed with lots of yummy veggies and a wonderful broth!!!! They make fresh deserts and I had coconut cream pie and it was delicious!!!!! You have to go check it out!!!!!! Hometown goodness!!!!!!! ๐๐๐๐

We were driving through town and stopped to get some quick breakfast. Everything we got was delicious. We got a breakfast wrap and a ham and cheese panini with tomato basil soup. The owners were very friendly and one can tell they care about the food they make.

The food was great. No complaints about that at all. The person running the place however was so incredibly rude and annoying I'll struggle to go back. He was fine at first, asking what we wanted and telling us about what they had. We took our time eating lunch since we were visiting and that did not seem ok to him. Suddenly he was coming over every few minutes asking if we wanted something else. I did order an apple dumpling to go because I felt like he wasn't going to leave me alone unless I did. After I ordered something else he FINALLY left us alone to enjoy our conversation in peace. Unfortunately when we went to check out and pay he again was incredibly rude. He kept insisting we needed to take Bible's because they were giving them away. He only stopped after we said we had one at home. It was beyond strange and I've never been treated that way in an establishment ever. We there for only about an hour and got there around 1, after the lunch rush, not an unreasonable amount of time for people visiting and having lunch. I really wish I could give it 3.5 stars due to this gentleman who ran the place but I can only give full stars and 3 seems too little for how good the food was.

We are from PA and my daughter in law had surgery. The flowers didn't work out and we wanted to do something and saw the ad for Apple Barrel. Lee Ann was great to work with and we picked out soup and sandwiches and dessert. Our kids were surprised by the delivery. My son called thanking me for the wonderful food. My daughter in law said she saw the quart of soup and knew it was Apple Barrels and was happy because she loves their food..her place of work orders for their meetings from here too..how nice that she already loves this place. Thanks Leeann for bridging the 2000 mile gap and for doing what I couldn't do from this distance..making them some great food. Thanks for great customer service too. Thank you so much!

The food was good! Not the best, but definitely good! This restaurant made me feel like I was having lunch at my grandmaโs house - a very chill, local, homey vibe that was emphasized by the antique decor and christian music.
