You never know what to expect when driving through an area while traveling. I just happen to pick the gem. This restaurant atmosphere was like I remeber growing up in small town America. Everyone knew each other, the elders having conversations across booths. Warm, welcoming staff, it just made us feel at home. Come to find out, it is the longest standing Cafe in Idaho, of 87 years! If your driving through Idaho Falls, it is a must for breakfast!!! Best place ever!!! Thank you Idaho Falls!

Great breakfast and the fried chicken is great. Home style cooking and large portions. Prices are reasonable and service is old fashion efficient with a little bit down home. We love it. Charlie is great, a real sweetheart that makes it special. Hint Wednesday has chicken soup, wonderful over mashed potatoes, try it.

The first time we came here I remember it being decent. Came back and it was not good. The best thing was the piece of pie, which was just okay.

Great american diner! Perfect spot for breakfast in Idaho Falls. Coffee was on point, refillable..Breakfast was superb! Hiway hash was so delicious - almost ordered another plate! Can't agree more with the good reviews on this resto!

Our waitress Charlie snapped at my friend who had never been here before and asked a simple question. We've waited 30 minutes for our drinks. The table that got here 20 minutes after has their drinks which where the same as ours. I love this place but she was extremely rude.
As a waitress at another restaurant I find her behavior and attitude very rude.

Awesome service, better food. They have the BEST chicken noodle soup ever! Their selection of pie is awesome and delicious and the history is fascinating. It was built in 1934 and is still around so they must be doing something right

Great food! Great waitress staff. Every time I go in they always have smiles on their faces and are so accommodating and friendly. I brought my 8 month old in and they helped make our meal as great as possible. Everything I asked for, they managed to deliver to our table in a very quick fashion. The food here is amazing. Always hot, and always tasty!☺

This place was OK. I think as a local, it would be a cool spot to go on a regular basis just because it feels familiar and comfortable. As an out of towner, don't expect to be impressed by the food, atmosphere or service. The food is home cooking for every pallet. That's great for older folks and kids, but if you are over 14 and under 70, you may find the food here bland. I went here because of the reviews on their biscuits and gravy and was not impressed...at all. The gravy was flavorless, SUPER thick, and gelatinous. The biscuits were dense and hard like they had been sitting around for at least a day. Their service is basic diner style service meaning that it's not a special guest experience. Instead it's more like hey - whatcha want? Here's your check type of thing. The best part of that is no interruptions throughout your meal. The down side of experiences like that is you leave feeling like it was an imposition for them that you even showed up. So...mixed feelings on this one. Not sure I'd go back.

Been here since 1934, that ought to say a lot! Opens at 5:00 AM for us early risers. Food is great as is the service! Can’t go wrong here, that’s for sure!!
