North Hi-Way Cafe

I've been coming here since the 1970s with my family. Now I take my granddaughter. We no longer live in IF but my granddaughter does so I still eat here about once a month.
The biscuits and gravy have always been my favorite but it's all that old hometown cafe good. This one I'd give a 6 star for.

Delicious Chicken Dinner, when my mashed potatoes and gravy was placed before me the tators was smiling at me. Mmmmm I was a happy customer. :-)
My son in law (1st time to Hi-Way) fell in love with the Northgate Mile High Cheeseburger n Eggs.
Daughter and Grandson Enjoyed their Chicken Stripps dinner, the strips was very good with crispy tots.
Thank you for a delicious Saturday dinner.

Food was excellent, service not so much saw her maybe 3 times in hour half we were there. No napkins silverware were offered to us either, i had to ask for those items

I absolutely love this place, but today not so much! Our waitress today, Julie, was so terrible to us it was unreal! She forgot some of my food and never bothered to ask of we wanted refills! She was to busy goofing off somewhere else! The meal I usually get came with a desert, but I didn't bother asking, because she already forgot my toast. I was just glad to get out of there!

Yall want an amazing homemade chicken fried steak? Well then c'mon! This steak is mouthwatering alone but then throw some of their brown gravy and now you've entered the blissful arena of complete satisfaction! But wait there's more! What about the staff? Well you ever felt like the server made the restaurant brighter by their mere presence. Well then make sure to ask for Teri and you can have some light for yourself! ❤

The wait staff (Charlie, Julie, Linda, Sherri, and the new faces I haven't learned their names yet) are AWESOME. On the weekends you got to get a scone!

I absolutely love this restaurant. The staff is great and knowledgeable. I've loved everything I've had there. Would highly recommend this place

I love their brown gravy, and there coffee. 85 yes of service, and the food is still quite delicious. I got bacon and eggs and my friend a chicken fried steak (not the frozen kind). Hot, quick, good meals at a really good price. Severs are alright, I come mostly for the food!!

A great find and best of all is history. Always great to find and support local businesses and family owned. Will definitely visit again when in town.

Love the rare roast beef sandwich! Fried chicken is so good! Love the home town diner feel.
