I’m not a reviewer but this might help someone else in our situation. We are only in town for a few days and we love good coffee. Everywhere we travel we first seek out the local, non-chain coffee shop. So I turned to google and came across Evans Bros. Read all the reviews which were all over the map so we decided to try ourselves. Well first clue should have been the lack of patronage. But hey it’s middle of the week so let’s keep going. Our way of telling a good coffee is by trying a black americano. It wasn’t hot. That was the next clue but we kept going haha. Well…No. Just no. Typing this while I’m parked in front of the magnificent fireplace in Coeur D’Alene Coffee Co.Thank goodness we had another day here to discover this gem.

While the coffee is good I will not be returning to the fifth Street store. It was amazingly dirty. The floor had not been swept in days. I should’ve Realized by the entry way what I was getting into.

You can get a superb cup of coffee here, whether you are in the mood for a latte, mocha, chai, or pour over. Nice atmosphere with very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. This is much more than a drive thru, as each cup is expertly handcrafted. I go here to treat myself for sure.

I work downtown and come here a lot. The coffee is probably the best quality around, but it's a bit too dark and acidic for my taste. I just do my best to order light roasts. Great atmosphere for work and meetings.

Always loved Evans up in Sandpoint, so glad to have them in town. Great coffee, I like the location, friendly staff and those hand sized pies...delicious. Appreciate the staff wearing masks.

The service was decent, it had a nice atmosphere but the coffee was so bad. I just moved from southern Idaho and used to actually travel up north just to get Evans Brothers Coffee beans so you can imagine my excitement that I moved back up north and they now had a shop open here.
My first drink was the yam latte and It was incredibly salty. Like unreal-make-you-sick-salty. I took it back up and they were apologetic and nice about it and made me a new drink. Unfortunately, the next drink (just a regular almond milk latte) was super even worse than the first. It was so dark and burned that I couldn’t finish it. They also never asked me how it was or checked on me.
I was so excited about this place but honestly, after my experience, I don’t think I’ll be back. It’s one thing to get a bad drink but it’s another to get two in a row that are so bad you can’t drink them.
