The Orchard House Restaurant

Average breakfast. Service was friendly and good. I asked the hashbriwns be crispy and they were barely brown. Too far to drive for average breakfast.

The food is great and the cooks are good at what they do. It was served with a smile and the pie was so so good. Get the pie.

Today my family of 4 met for breakfast. We had lost a dear family member and needed a space to decompress and spend time together. We tried for breakfast, but where told it was too late, completely understandable. Although, we had to wait for breakfast to wrap up before the cooks would change over to lunch. We took that in stride we were really just looking for a space to enjoy each other. After eating we shopped in the gift store and were admiring the deserts. While checking out and spending $180.00, my boyfriend was rudely questioned by the owner. She was very confrontational. To the point everyone stopped and stared. He was simply admiring the deserts while we checked out. She acted as though he was loitering in the gift shop. We were so caught of guard and he was completely embarrassed. The owner finally snapped out- I just wanted to know if he wanted anything. Her employees were even surprised at how rude she was to a customer.
I thought long and hard about saying anything. My family needed some quality time together this morning. We actually got up from the table with smiles on our faces. She took that away quickly. I’m have thought about it, she probably had know idea what or why we were there.
I hope next time she might take pause and remind herself we all are dealing with struggles and even heartbreak. Maybe, she herself was today.
She won’t ever be sorry for just being kind. We could have really used some kindness this morning.

Went for lunch. Small facility with good service but longer waits. We had a Tuna melt, Patty melt and Tuna sandwich. Fries great, onion rings poor. My wife couldn't eat her Patty Melt "horrible". The tuna sandwich had all the Tuna in the middle...hard to eat but decent taste. Had to remove and adjust the Tuna...made a mess. Quaint, unique restaurant....food appears to be hit or miss.

Busy Saturday had to wait for a table that’s OK. My husband had the fish tacos and clam chowder. He said he could not taste the fish in the taco there was so much toppings and salsa. Clam chowder was lukewarm but good. I had the Caesar salad with chicken. Chicken breast was moist and tasty. There was just the leaves of the romaine there were no hearts. It could’ve been better but it wasn’t bad. I would order it again. Disappointed in the $9.90 peach cobbler ala mode. We expected to be wowed. It was more crust than anything else. The peach filling itself was very tasty, the peach was well cooked, wonderful texture, which I like. Just should be more peach then crust. The vanilla ice cream was good. Coffee was good.

Food was yummy. Wished we made it before 11 for breakfast. Of you go past 11 they don't do breakfast. Lunch was still tasty and hot. Try their Carmel apple mimosa!

My wife and I stopped here for lunch. I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was awsome. My wife had a mushroom and swiss burger. She liked it very much. I also had the "sidewinder" fries which are unique, like curly fries but extra thick. If you like fries I highly recommend them.

Great service, awesome food, wonderful atmosphere! We were too excited to dig into the food, hence the half eaten meal photos!

Had lunch here yesterday. The service was great. I ordered a burger and the pesto fettuccine. The burger was excellent. However, the pesto fettuccine was subpar. The pasta, itself, was over cooked, leaving it chewy. And the pesto had too much oil.

We arrived to the Orchard house on Saturday at 2:28 PM the grill closed at 2:30 and the store closing at three.
The owner Chris was so gracious… she seated us immediately even though the store was very busy, she said they would get our order in right away. The food is off the charts! such an adorable gift shop everything so beautifully merchandised.
