Busy but they are having $2.00 Bronco Game Day Blue or Orange Fuels!
Always great customer service!

My favorite place to get coffee in the whole valley! I go out of my way to get black rock regardless of how far I have to drive. Super sweet employees and amazing coffee/pastries. You guys should really consider opening a location closer to Lake Hazel area haha ;)

Fast service, friendly cashier. Very good coffee. I subtracted a star because my iced americano had way too much ice, I feel a little jipped on that.

I love black rock coffee! I like coffee drinks from other places but every time I want an energy drink type drink I find myself here. Highly recommend the fuel with orange and blackberry!! Very good and doesn't have that penny taste like other places do!

Coffee always great, but....their new "no contact" payment system forces you into tipping when sometimes you just don't want to or isn't deserved! I'm sure they are not paid server wages and don't live off of tips. Not all customer service workers need to be tipped every time something is purchased!

Best coffee shop yet! They never got my drink wrong, always have great service and are open very early so I can get my coffee before work. If I don't know what to get the baristas always know what to make, like a fun surprise. Not a bad experience yet.
You already have my vote as the best coffee shop in Boise.
Keep it up!
P.S. If there were any more stars to rate with I'd make sure that you got all of them.

This location was built on the former site of my grandparents' house, which they built in the 1930s. I spent many Sundays during my childhood out there shooting pool and hanging out. I left Boise in 2005, so it was a special moment for me to visit this Black Rock coffee for the first time since my grandparents' home was torn down. The two young women working there were extremely sweet and patient with me as I briefly told them my history with the location. Boise is known for having very nice people and good customer service, but this was exceptional even by Boise's standards. I wish I had gotten their names so I could single them out here, but I very much appreciated their patience and interest in my brief little story. They were enthusiastic and asked follow-up questions. I didn't expect anything like that, but I appreciated it on this nostalgic occasion. On top of that, the chai lattes I got were delicious. :-)

The coffee has an ever so slightly ashy taste to it, and the drinks run very sweet, but I don't mind. Most customers use the drive through, but I like the cozy, sunny, indoor seating area. It's a nice little place to stop for a while.

So I have tried the coffee 3 times first one was good. So I was excited to go back the second coffee not good tasted burnt. The third one was eggnog latte could not even taste the eggnog and the coffee was burnt they are always out of their pastries so I got a scone it was hard as a rock like it was about two weeks old. Is it too much to ask for consistency especially when you pay between $5 and $10 for a coffee and a pastry?
