My favorite local coffee shop that offers a variety of high-quality coffees, teas, smoothies, delicious pastries, sandwiches, and other plates. My go to is a Honey latte and power wrap.

I was very disappointed!
My wife and I, together with 2 friends, ordered latte's and breakfast and told them we're eating in. They gave us to-go cups, wrong size, and over-sweetened latte's.
Food was horrible except for the bagel and lox, which was great!
Not coming back... Not recommending!

$20 for a coffee and a breakfast burrito. Coffee took 20 minutes to make at 8am. Barista gave me the wrong food, and forgot the milk for coffee. Coffee was a french press, didnt burn, but the special roast tasted flat, stale and underwhelming. Staff seemed to make the orders out of order, prioritizing familiar faces.
Coffee was hot, burrito was good.
Wouldn't recommend thou.

Best Breakfast Burrito and Thai Latte in town, both hands and feet down! They also have a very eclectic crowd with a positive and upbeat vibe that really makes everyone feel as though they are all part of the same family. ---And dont forget to get a photo printed on your latte foam!!! Ask for a Selfie-Chino 🤣🤣🤣🤙🤙🤙

Your friendly neighborhood coffee shop. The food is made fresh every day, the coffees and teas are delicious, and the owner and his team are always happy to talk story with customers. And free Wi-Fi that I’m using to write this review.

Hands down our favorite place to be with simply the best coffee in the Pacific. Local Joe is a little back alley cafe that initially never caught our eye. We've since become regulars enjoying their amazing selection of coffees, lattes, espressos, teas, smoothies and munchies. My personal favs include the Cubano Latte and the Foggy Bottom while my wife is partial to the Matcha Tea Latte but some days I just go in and order the SOP Local Joe coffee which is by far the best cup of coffee on the island.
Their munchies are killer with an eclectic menu that keeps rotating. I love their Bagel Lox for lunch and they got a Pastrami sandwich like you're in Brooklyn. My granola wife loves their Vegan tacos and the Quinoa salad. This week I'm addicted to their sour cream coffee cake.
They got this very cool machine that takes a photo from a phone and imprints it on the foam of a latte. We have lots of fun bringing guests there, snapping their pic and then have the a latte served to them with their image. Its a riot.
The staff are the biggest draw. They are fun and entertaining and they alone are worth the visit. If you're feeling down, just go to Local Joes and they'll cheer you up for no extra cost. Its also super great people watching and attracts an eclectic mix of everyone being on the border of Chinatown and downtown. Don't be surprised to see the mayor, a former governor and the city council folks in there.
My wife and I's favorite date is to ride Biki bicycles and they got a Biki station right at their front door! When we're lazy we drive and park in the municipal lot across Smith street. I've also simply parked out front next to the Biki station and got away with it many times.
And according to my wife, a huge draw for Local Joes is... they have a bathroom. A genuine bathroom, no key required, you don't have to walk around the block, stand in line whatever. Where do you find that in downtown Hono?

Quirky little cafe hidden away in Chinatown. Coffee was excellent but overpriced. Tried the three egg omelette, also quite spendy, but wasn't disappointed as it was tasty and filling. I was hoping to get some work done on my computer, irked slightly at the lack of any outlets to plug into and then find out the WiFi isn't working. They were busy but eventually got around to resetting the router and all was good.

Great little coffee bar. Always friendly service. They have a good selection of coffee drinks and some great eats too. Not a lot of table space but I’ve never not been able to get a seat.

Just a little spot, but it was a welcome respite on a hot day in downtown Honolulu. Healthy, organic, teas and coffee. We were hungry and didn't know whether we wanted to fight the crowds in Chinatown just a block away. Thanks to Local Joe, we didn't have to. Nice, friendly staff.
