Mallery Street Cafe

A cute Diner across the main road. We got there right between rushes. The service just ok, as the check was placed as soon as we got our food letting us know to not stick around, and we weren't checked on again. I had the Macintosh (crab) my husband had the sausage gravy eggs Benedict. We both really liked the sandwiches, but the grits were less than desirable. My husband had had better on the island and I just thought they were bland and not seasoned. Overall, tasty egg sandwiches and definitely suggest for breakfast.

Best breakfast in town. Crab cake bennies, seafood omelettes etc. One star off for mediocre coffee

Salmon with sautéed spinach was delicious!!! Best key lime pie EVER!! The staff was so friendly and helpful!! Definitely will put it on the must have list for SSI. ❤️

Fast, friendly short order grill.
I had the Coastal Omelette with shrimp, scallops and white cheddar is large and filling. Grits flavorful but a bit thick.
My spousal unit ordered Eggs McIntosh: tasty deliciousness with crabmeat and Hollandaise. Potatoes baked, well seasoned though a bit salty.
We'll be back to try the shrimp and grits.

Shrimp and grits are creamy and delicious. I prefer a red sauce and this is nice, not spicy.
Scrambled eggs with ham and Hollandaise for my lady, equally good as yesterday.

We ate at the Mallery St. Cafe, twice while staying on the Island, and took Coffee out once. We loved this restaurant. The food is good, but the Coffee is EXCELLENT!! Fresh ground, and I really could not get enough of it! The Wait Staff is very friendly. They were open every morning we were here which was in February.

We made a point to find and revisit this little cafe again - first visited 7 years ago and was highly impressed (fantastic food!) we were not disappointed. Very yummy again - each person in our group enjoyed our two visits during this vacation; once for breakfast (love that you can pick your portion - order a 1, 2 or 3 portion w/my Eggs Florentine) and once for lunch. Best fruit cup in a restaurant two of ever had - super fresh cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries. Today for lunch I would say one of the best salads I've had in a cafe - grilled asparagus salad - the greens were varied and fresh; sun- dried figs, toasted almonds and candied pecans topped with goat cheese, all blended well together nothing over-powered, mmmmm! The club sandwich and BLT in our group Wow'ed them - super tasty, fresh and filling. Friendly staff, very pleasant. We'll be back!

We'd gone here several times, but they never had a children's menu to show us, and even though we always ordered the same thing, the prce would fluctuate by several dollars. This stopped us from going...they would never tell us how much the kid's items were...even when asked. Today the service was awful. The food was bad. So bad, we're crossibg our fingers that we don't get food poisoning from bad shrimp. The waitress flatout lied to us when we told her we'd ordered wheat toast and got rye. She said it was wheat. Luckily none of us were actually allergic to rye so we ate the ice cold toast anyway. Rye toast. Ugh. Sadly, that was the nail in the coffin and not only will we never be back, but we're upset enough to post this.

Nice people, exceptional food. Great breakfast. Best burger. Excellent sausage and shrimp omelet. Wish they could open for dinner.

Art meets food in this lovely little cafe staffed by wonderful and highly efficient people. Another one of those spots that remember you and very often....your order. When the food arrives it is always a home run. Presented well- generous and eye flutteringly delicious.

We had a great visit. I had their Shrimp and Scallop 3 egg white omelette and it was so delicious! I can’t stop thinking about it. Highly recommend!
