I used to really like this place. Super cute ambiance. But recently I’ve gone in there and things just seem messy. I was there a few weeks ago and got bubble tea, but something tasted off— I believe they do not make it properly. There was also only one person working and they seemed to be under a lot of pressure.
I went on a date there just last week and the iced coffee I got had a funky aftertaste. My date also stated the coffee they got was not as expected. I think it’d be a really nice place if they had adequate staffing with knowledge of how to properly make drinks.
Truly the worst boba I have ever had 💀 the cup was more ice than drink, and the boba was sprinkled on top and had the texture of Play-Doh… if you respect yourself, don’t get the boba. The rice bowl was good though.
The Banh My is just OK. Store is centrally located and looks to be clean. It was a bit slow the day I came, took almost 30 min for a to-go order of 3 banh my, which is subpar to other banh my places. 3 stars is for encouragement since Savannah definitely needs more food variety.
Boba added to the drinks is kinda overpriced and had an odd texture. Besides that the bowls were well priced and very fresh with a good selection of ingredients.
Looking for a place to eat we came across this place simply loved it food was delicious, excellent service, clean. We went two other places very happy first place didn’t have panini as they were waiting on delivery and second place opened later.. so happy they did wish we would of found this place much sooner lol they ran out of the wine we wanted they actually went out and got it
Stopped into Shuga Girl for a quick breakfast before leaving Savannah. It was an okay experience overall. They were out of many things on the menu, including the smoothie bowls and the bacon for their "featured" crepe, which I thought was odd. They also had no savory vegetarian options, which forced my friend to order a Nutella crepe for breakfast, which she did not want! I highly recommend they add a savory vegetarian option, such as a veggie crepe or mushroom crepe for those who want no meat.
The crepes we received were quite good though and we also ordered a couple bakery items which we were also happy with. The drinks were excellent as well! I had a lavender matcha latte which I highly recommend!
Love the decor, super clean and modern bistro cafe vibes. Food is fantastic as well. Overall love this place, and kind of a hidden gem (not at all busy for lunchtime), on a week day at least.
NOTE: Le Banh Cafe is new! The older reviews (prior to Feb 2022) are for the restaurant that *used* to be in the space. The current restaurant does not serve crepes :)
They do serve bánh mí sandwiches and they are delicious! The pastries are not, though- they keep them in the case too long and as a result they are old, soggy and taste vaguely like whatever else is in the case. Get a sandwich, get a bowl; they’ll be great. But go somewhere else for pastries.
