Great place for gifts and souvenirs they serve lunch here I ordered the pimento cheese sandwich and it was awesome I was told they make their own pimento cheese it's so good!! The sweet tea was really good the staff was very welcoming and friendly will definitely be back when I come back down for rail watch in April

We stopped in for some ice cream mid-afternoon and what a great place. The owner was so friendly and interesting to talk with. We also got a couple of little whatnots. If you haven't been there I highly recommend you do.

Great little shop for train things, Americana things, Swamp Things and the sandwich selection is vast with plenty of options for customizing, few sides and plethora of drink options, I'm not a coffee kinda person, but it seems like if you are, then stop in and sip a spell. Owners and staff were friendly and explained all their offerings. Sooo, when your in town and need a pick me up for the next round of trains, check em out. It's legit.....and I'm not just Whistling Dixie.

Great food, friendly folks. Miss Dixie is a sweetie! Nicely decorated. Try the Sweet Melissa sandwich. Yum! The Miss Ginny sandwich with raspberry mustard is amazing. I never thought I'd like raspberry mustard, but it's delicious!

STAY AWAY, huge tourist trap and out of towners beware! High prices for cheap items. The food is not worth the prices, I'd rather eat at McDonalds or That Thai Restaurant down the street. The owner was very rude and reeked of alcohol. Again, STAY AWAY.

Excellent lunch menus featuring savory homemade soups & desserts , well constructed sandwiches, and local dishes. Bluebell ice cream and lots of swamp & railroad souvenirs to take home.

This family-owned and operated place is the perfect book nook or gathering place, and it has such a good vibe. I met the owners and their daughter, and they're wonderful, humourous people! Have some awesome warm-your-belly soups, sandwiches, or coffee, and then for dessert, grab an ice cream to go! I loved this place! It's exactly what you'd hope to find on an old street in a small town. ❤️

Delicious lunch! I had the Ruben on white which was really good. Husband had the chicken salad which was loaded with wonderful fresh veggies. The Small side of Brunswick stew was fantastic. We have been having trouble finding someone who can make a good stew but we have found the place to go to now. What made it a true 5 star was the friendly and kind service we received from the owner and her staff. We will definitely be back!

There are 3 reasons to come to Folkston:
1. Miss Dixie
2. Whistlin' Dixie Cafe
3. The Chessie Caboose.
Dare I say that our entire visit was FABULOUS because of Dixie?
We stayed in her beautiful yellow caboose to train watch- and believe me, you won't be dissapointed; we had a really fantastic lunch ( The Miss Ginny sandwich with the rasberry mustard and the Genuine Ruben) and had a great time chatting with Dixie.
I have a feeling we'll be taking the short jaunt from St Aug to Folkston on weekends just for lunch.
Genuine South Georgia hospitality and food.
We loved it! You MUST try it.
Thank you Dixie.
