You MUST visit this place, cash at the ready, to experience the terribleness. Never have I seen an open business with this low of a rating and it did not disappoint. Consistent with other reviews, the "cappuccino" is dispensed from a cheap gas station machine. Not a Quick Trip machine, mind you, but country road Texaco quality. Unfortunately, it ran out. So we had to settle for "coffee." The coffee is as atrocious as the ratings suggest. Granted, it was hot. If I were to pour it in the waiting room of a car dealership, I would probably wouldn't buy a car from them. The fact that any human pays good money for this is amazing. We went for tourism only and had an enjoyable experience laughing at this fine museum of old lady tchotchkes.
If I could give this place a zero stars I would. From outside it looks like a charming, quaint little antique shop. I went in to browse around and saw that it was also a coffee shop. I had opened the front door and maybe got three steps inside when elderly woman approached me and asked if she could help me. I responded by saying I was just going browse around and she said that it’s a coffee shop and that there was a sign on the door that said so and if we’re not going to buy any coffee and we can leave. My initial thought was she was kidding but then the look she gave me told me otherwise. I said OK and turned around and walked out the door. I don’t know how this places is in business. It was just a bizzarre experience. Rude customer service. Two thumbs down.
Visited today and was pleasantly suprised! Wished there were more coffee and pastry options though. Got a coffee w/ almond milk and it was delicious! I love the outdoor seating area! Had a great chat with the owners seems to be a lovely little place to sit and have a nice cup of coffee. Would reccomend!!!!
Actually great coffee and German chocolate cake. Read the reviews, seems like it's a hit or miss. But I'm a not great looking Hispanic guy and I was treated nicely so not sure what demographic would have an issue.
The lady who owns the shop enjoys intimidating, harassing, and kicking out customers based in their appearance. Read these reviews, which include some truly vile stories, before sponsoring.
Very disappointed... At the beginning I loved the vibe around the place. We went to have lunch to a regular restaurant and after that we decided to have coffee in this what I thought was a wonderful place. Short history, we couldn’t have nothing. The billboard said “open” there is a little gate that it was open, there was another little sign saying “open” but the door to the access to the store was locked; we knocked the door several times and nobody answered, a lady looked at us from inside and she decided to hide herself. Very disappointed, if you don’t feel like receiving clients at least have the decency to turn off the billboard, close the little gate (in fact, there was another sign saying “if the gate is close it’s mean that we are close, do not attempt to open it”) and don’t hide. Don’t go to this place, unfriendly and irresponsible people.
One star is being generous. We had eight people ready to buy coffee, but were run off by the rude owners because we didn't order fast enough. It was shocking how rude they we're! No words. Despicable.
Coffee Break? More like Coffee Freak.I took my Grandson in to take a look. As we were admiring the scenery, the crotchety old woman comes out and asks’ “ can I help you”?(as if she was annoyed that we were there) As we said that we were looking around, she nastily responded, “it’s not that kind of place, you buy someothing or get out”! My poor 12 year old Grandson left the place mortified. How could someone talk to a child like that- he was crying for about 15 minutes, just so hurt that someone would speak to him like that or anyone for that matter. Don’t even waste your time going in. Maybe if you’re looking for a scare on Halloween, I’d recommend it.
It’s all about being welcoming. This is basic. You can’t tell people “There’s no bathroom If that’s what you’re looking for”. Not only is it rude, but off putting. Quite frankly, dumb. We just turned around and headed to the pub Next door for some Irish coffee. At least they were nice there. Gee.
There’s a notice on the door not to come in if you don’t want to buy coffee. Before I was 2 steps into the shop the very rude owner told me to get out. She told me she wanted to make a living and apparently obvious - to her- I didn’t want coffee. Stay far away!!
