Southern Muggs Coffee Shop

Loved this place and will definitely be back! This coffee shop was so cute and cozy with reasonably priced coffee that tasted amazing! The employees were all helpful with recommendations since this was my first time here.

I am giving four stars based on my previous visits. I lived in italy (where coffee is taken very seriously!) until a couple of years ago. This place has the closest coffee to italian coffee in terms of quality I've come across in Georgia. HOWEVER, the last couple of times I went in, not one staff member was wearing a mask and neither were the customers. This seems exceedingly dangerous during the pandemic. Today I walked in and walked right back out since not a soul inside was wearing a mask. This is not a political but a health issue. I now don't feel comfortable there and won't return til the pandemic is over.

Great vintage feel on the inside. The workers are nice too. The reason I gave it 4 stars was because the roast wasn't so good. It felt like your basic gas station coffee.

Cannot say enough good things about this slice of heaven in Cartersville. The girls/guys they have brewing always have the best suggestions and combo's to my daily cravings. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a delicious cup of coffee and some nice company.

A perfect place to visit - great coffee and outstanding employees make this a worthwhile visit when you are in downtown cartersville!

This quaint unassuming coffee shop has hands down the best cup of cappuccino I have ever had! Barista Felicity has a way if making the foam so thick and creamy!! It is divine..... heaven in a cup!!!! She also was very friendly, which is something often found in a Starbucks. I am here on vacation and after having my first cup had to drive 20 minutes back the next day to have another. YES, IT WAS THAT GOOD!!!! This place is decorated nicely is quiet. I actually got computer work done on day two. I met Jennifer, the Smugg's (that's their nickname for this establishment... cute) owner on day two. She was so nice. She even printed a few documents for my daughter who needed to print out a few pages for her college class.

This place not only is a coffe shop. Buy jas specialty vinegars and olive oils that you can sample prior to purchasing and wine as well. It has an upscale old country store vibe to it. IF YOU PASS THROUGH CARTERSVILLE, THIS IS A MUST STOP PLACE YOU SHOULD VISIT AND HAVE A CUP OF CAPPUCCINO! Thank you Jennifer and Felicity for such a wonderful experience!

Love this place it is very cozy and the baristas are very sweet. I will defiantly be back when I'm in town again.

I love everything about this place! Great coffee, fun atmosphere, friendly staff. I have yet to have a bad cup of coffee/shot of espresso from Southern Muggs. I cannot recommend them enough, try the Cubano shot...yum!

I can't say enough good things about this place. This is my favorite coffee shop; any time we're anywhere near Cartersville we stop in.

The coffees are amazing - drip and latte/mocha - both, and they don't overdo the flavoring in your drink.

They have little snack things, pastries mostly, or cakes, but I haven't tried them.

They have live music - I think Saturday evening?

The people are so great, and they remember faces and preferred drinks. They certainly know how to pull a shot properly! I've never had a bad coffee here.

Through the back is a hall to a shop that sells various infused oils, like a blueberry balsamic that is stellar and harisa infused olive oil that we now cook with exclusively. They aren't expensive and definitely worth a look. They also have some tea and general kitchen supplies. ;)

But, back to the coffee shop! It's such a friendly place and they make incredible coffee. This is my favorite coffee shop and any time we're anywhere near Cartersville we stop in.

Great coffee. Stepped in to get out of the cold into the most beautiful shop, which ended up being Olive Tree and Vine, an experience itself. We followed the aroma of freshly brewed coffee through the vats of olive oil, vinegar and wine to Southern Muggs. After much patience and helping an old couple like my bf and I we finally settled on an Abracadabra and a Beast...both LOADED with espresso and coffee...delicious, thick, flavorful accompanied by a coffee cake muffin for a perfect combo. Add a chill, kinda cool vibe. Some college kids on the free WiFi in a smaller front room, chess sets, free papers and plenty of inviting nooks and spots to cozy up. I had to detract one star because they were a little slow and disorganized when several customers came in at once and my bf didn’t really care for his beverage...too sweet but that could be a matter of opinion...I thought the coffee and muffin was delicious! A great spot to get out of the wind with your honey or a friend.
