This place has a lot going on: olive oil, wine, gifts, and coffee in the back. We drink coffee everywhere we go all over the world- even our daughter does. In our experience, when you try to specialize in too many things and reach as broad an audience as humanly possible, quality suffers. The coffee at SM is so bitter…. “Sour” would prob be a better word. We’ve tried it 3 times now and we couldn’t finish our drinks. Not smooth at all. Treats are totally average. No gluten free any of the times we went. 🫤🤷🏻♀️ Just our opinion. We also hate Starbucks coffee.
Noble and Main across the street is our go-to. They roast their own coffee and it’s flawless. Smooth as silk! House-made syrups and scratch-made treats daily. And YOU CAN TELL. Wowza. No gluten free treats or pastries.

Southern Muggs is a gem of downtown Cartersville. It always has the BEST service and a wide variety of products depending on what you are looking for. There is definitely something here for everyone! You can spend all day here and never get bored. The environment is unbeatable, coffee is smooth as silk, and service is the best in town!

Super cute place! I love bubble tea and theirs is delicious! I got the strawberry kiwi bubble tea with mango pearls and it was super tasty. My husband got a strawberry banana smoothie and it was fabulous also. The staff are very friendly and know their stuff. Next time I stop in I will definitely have to try something else because I’m sure it will be delicious also! Very cozy and warm environment. Will definitely be back.

Good cortado, cool atmosphere, great prices, and friendly staff. What else could you ask for?

This is the place I come to when I need to get work done. I’m able to order a coffee, sit at a table or comfy chair, plug in my computer and work! The atmosphere is calm and soothing for those over thinkers like me. Most definitely recommend going to try this place!

I love the coffee here & the environment but the workers ruin the vibe every time. They’re borderline rude, mainly just short & dry and seem like they don’t want to be taking orders. Went one day, ordered garlic bagel with garlic cream cheese & came back the next day or so and asked if they had that still, the worker said “well is it on the board?” I looked around for the board and it in fact wasn’t on the board and she said “then no we don’t”. very sorry she had to answer a question at her customer service job, my bad, I’ll clock in next time. Also waited 15 mins on a bagel that had been forgotten twice. But the coffee is great & not all of the baristas I’ve encountered are saltblocks, just a select couple. Nonetheless we always tip because they do make wonderful coffee & it can be stressful I’m sure

My husband grabbed everyone in our family a tea from Southern Muggs this morning and ALL of the teas were wonderful. So flavorful, affordable, and fast!

Wonderful little coffee shop. Fair priced coffee, unique drinks all their own, and lots of comfortable places to sit. I ordered a gingerbread latte and it was way better than Starbucks! They are very active with the community as well. Lots of music events and etc.

Amazing indie cafe connected to the olive oil front with beer/wine lounge in the middle. Coffee menu has something for everyone, and cozy seating abounds!

This business is shared with another business, which I regret not spending more time checking out.
I went to the back and I ordered an iced white mocha and it was very tasty.
The young lady who helped me was kind and helpful.
I also ordered a coffee cake muffin, which was really good, but too big to eat in one sitting.
I was visiting a friend I haven't seen in a couple of years and we were able to sit in a couple of comfy chairs with a little table in between us and talk for a good 2 hours.
They didn't seem to mind.
I think it's a must try and definitely check out the business that it shares the location with.
The picture is of the streets where I parked in the public parking area. Otherwise you would have to find street parking, which was hit or miss.
My coffee and muffin with tip was just under $10, not bad.
