Allen's Creamery & Coffee House

Drove 20 minutes to get ice cream last night. There’s a line of 3-4 folks at the window and the girl working announced she’s only serving one more customer before closing at 8. The signs clearly show open until 9. What a shame and a wasted trip for multiple guests including us - guess this is another business that doesn’t need our money. Reading the reviews, this seems to be a trend. Save yourself the hassle and pick another spot for ice cream.

The staff is friendly and don’t mind offering you a sample. I had a classic ice cream sundae with soft serve. It was delicious! We enjoyed our ice cream outside at one of the little tables. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other ice cream flavors.

Had such a great experience at Allen’s. Heard good things about their coffee (iced tea was just okay) but we came for ice cream and were so satisfied with both the product and the excellent service we received. We’ll definitely find ourselves stopping in from time to time when we need a treat.

This was a very disappointing visit. We weren't greeted when we walked in. Each scoop of ice cream we bought was $4.80 (for the absolute smallest scoop) and then after adding whipped cream and sprinkles it totaled over $8.00 for each scoop. He even charged us extra because I asked for the whipped cream and sprinkles in s separate cup because they wouldn't fit directly on the ice cream scoop. We visit a somewhat famous ice cream location on Sanibel Island Florida and even they don't charge this much for their homemade/handmade ice cream. The ice cream served here is from the Ice Cream Club. And to charge an extra $1.00 for dairy free is even more outrageous. This is definitely not worth the cost.

This place is amazing!! Its nice to go to an ice cream shop and not see the typical flavors. If your looking for something a little different, this place is it!! Small classic shop. Love taking my kids for a quick scoop!

So disappointed I drove with my family tonight 20 min out of our way after seeing Christmas lights to get some hot chocolate and ice cream Google clearly says they close at 10:30 and their door says 10:00 pm so of course no one was there and by this time everyone else is closed. Owner needs to pay better attention to the information they are feeding their customer. So frustrating!

Cute little sidewalk cafe, good selection of ice cream and a few yummy sorbets for us non-dairy folk. The coffee was also delicious and fresh-brewed. We sat inside and watched a 101 Dalmations while we chatted as we went during a storm, friendly staff also!

Customer Service seems to be a thing of the past, but not so at Allen's!! I am delighted to say I was contacted immediately and they made things right after our bad experience. This family creamery stands by their commitment to providing exemplary customer satisfaction and went above and beyond to make sure we come back and we will!!! This is what separates the best from the rest!! Thank you!

Allen's Creamery is a hidden gem here in Windermere. To tell you the truth, it is the best ice cream parlor I have ever tasted. Caitlin welcomed us and allowed us to sample a few of the flavors. I decided to purchase a banana split. I got to choose 3 flavors which were almond amaretto, rum raisin, and mint chocolate chip cookies ice cream. She topped it off with rainbow sprinkles and the indulgent peanut butter sauce. Plus to our amazement plenty of whipped cream and cherries. Caitlin thank you for such a wonderful ice cream experience. Plus don't forget to register for their loyalty program and save $2.00 on the first purchase!

Terrific family gathering spot. Wide variety of items on the menu, but the best is the Ice Cream selections. Food is fair to good, but the ice cream treats are what you really want to travel here for anyway. They need to get a French Fryer as well.
