HotWax Coffee Shop, Kava Bar & Tap House

Great place. My wife and I just recently moved to Tampa. Wife still works, I am retired military. Was checking out the area and found this place. Loved it. Quiet and relaxing. Staff is wonerful. Not good remembering names, but the young lady and gentlemen i met were woderful. Drinks were great. They made me feel very welcome.

Wonderful spot. Asked the barista to surprise me. He recommend a white kratom with ginger and blood orange….super nice guy and great drink.

Yoooo the karaokers here do not play.

Place is super chill and a nice stop off on a night out. Wife and I popped in twice in the same night 😅

This place is amazing! I had the Cafe Con Leche and my wife had the Green Kratom Tea. She felt sooo relaxed/calm we are trying to get some shipped to SC!!!

I came here and ordered a coffee, sat outside and tried to enjoy myself. I was approached by a waitress and told that if I was not a paying customer I cannot be here. I informed her I was a paying customer, showed her my coffee and sipped it, and she assumed I was lying and asked if that drink was sitting here. I feel I would not have received this disrespect if I were white, what about me says I would be so cheap and nasty to drink after a stranger? Why must I feel unwelcome at an establishment when I’m just trying to live like everyone else? Rude treatment and the coffee was nothing to write home about at that. Save your money

We are from out of town and had an excellent experience here. We will be back before we leave for home! I would also recommend this place for ANY and ALL new Kava/KR drinkers!

Awesome place to chill! Great selection of Kratom tea and Awesome atmosphere! Staff is amazing! Jesse really takes his time to explain the products and the very cool history of the building!

Great coffee with a nice vibe.. lot of flavors to add to your drink of choice, and a smoke shop owned by them right next door. Very cool spot. I always stop here every time I visit Ybor.

They do not know what they doing I asked the young lady does she have anything gluten free she said yes we have Twinkies there gluten-free she made me a cup of coffee was not good. I had the twinkie thinking it was gluten free turned out to be vegan not gluten-free there's a difference I had an attack for that whole week because I'm not supposed to have wheat. Do not trust anyone they'll tell you anything for a buck
