The Lively Café at St. John's

Basic cafeteria food. I had the salmon nicotine salad. The salmon was not properly cooked but raw inside. It was supposed to be grilled but looked like it was steamed. A bowl of broccoli soup for $6 was the size of a cup. All in all for $20+, I could have eaten better elsewhere.

I feel like this place is a best kept secret! Cool little cafe-like spot inside the fellowship hall of St. John's church. They have a weekly, rotating menu and specials with the most delicious & unique selections. They always have a tasty vegetarian option too (even when I'm not trying to eat vegetarian). Their lively bean salad is my favorite side!

I forget about the little gem sometimes, but I'm always completely delighted everytime I go back. The volunteers are always friendly and happy to be there, and the food is outstanding. You can't beat the prices!

I had the curried egg salad sandwich, my side was potato salad which is red potato with dill. New York style i believe. Both great

One of my all-time favorite lunch spots! The menu rotates weekly, there are weekly specials (including delicious desserts), everything is made fresh, service is quick and friendly, prices are amazing, and you can order online! I've literally never had a bad meal there. It's a local Tallahassee gem, so you're guaranteed to see someone you know there. If you decide to eat there, go eat in the garden! I can't believe such a treasure is hidden in downtown Tallahassee!

I ordered a black bean burger with cheese, bacon, avocado, arugula, and tomato. My side was the Lively Bean Salad. There was too much for me to eat, so I brought half of each home. The food was delicious. I will be going back. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful spot to have lunch. Great food and super affordable! Everyone is so nice! This is a great spot to frequent for lunch too as they offer different menu items weekly.

My favorite place for lunch! Delicious food at a very reasonable price, friendly people, lovely location (check out the outdoor seating in the garden), rotating menu...I love the fact that Lively Cafe makes sure that vegetarian meals are offered each week.
