I have to say, that I have family who comes and stays in Florida who really loves this place! I am a baker myself, so I don't get that excited about this bakery. On rare occasions I buy stuff, and usually the same thing, since I am not happy with some of the items they have there. One thing I do love is the half cabbage pie. It's delicious. The apple strudel is pretty good also. I tasted pretty much everything and these are my top choices. I think everything is a bit too expensive. I am from Chicago where we have a lot of European (Polish) deli and bakeries, and they are a lot more affordable than this. I know that they are very busy, but they would be even more, and have a lot more orders if the prices would be lower, also.

The food was great and staff is friendly and has a sense of community. I hope this place stays open for ever. 🤩

The most delicious Russian style poppy seed rolls and cinnamon rolls we have ever tried! And we’ve tried many...

Great little gem. Beautiful and delicious desserts. Nice place to eat inside or outdoors.

Update: This place was SO good but I have to downgrade to 3 stars at most.. Been back numerous times the past 6 months and its nothing like it used to be for me . I bought bread loaves at least 3 different times hoping to hit a good day but each and every time they were for me tasteless and very dry compared to how they used to be. BOUGHT pastry and lunch items and for me they definitely are missing the great taste they used to have.I'm giving 3 stars only because the cake type items are still really good and the people working are still so very nice. BUT, AS MUCH AS I used to love it I won't be returning anytime soon.

Previous review: Absolutely delicious. I don't even know what I exactly ate but it was wonderful. It was my first time there and I asked for recommendations. The young lady suggested the chicken bake or some such name and it was so good. Stuffed full with the flakiest crust. I also got some kind of apple fritter type dessert that was also just as fresh and tasty. I guess next time I have to pay attention to what I'm buying so I can know the names :). I'll defiantly be going back again SOON. So glad I live right down the street. I'll probably gain 10 pounds by Spring.

What a great little place. Went each day we were in town for oatmilk lattes and delicious pastries. Love this small business! And they were so accommodating to locals making orders for events/family gatherings.

Elusive Goose

A hidden gem. Solid spot to grab a delicious bite. Not expensive. I've had breakfast here every day this week. My partner says the coffee is amazing (I don't like coffee, so I wouldn't know).

Although they are open until 8pm, you'll want to arrive earlier in the day for a good selection -- they seem to sell out of many things daily.

Stroodle, pastries, tarts and more! Excellent place for a quick bite or to grab some baked goods for the office, family, & friends. Definitely worth the quick stop right off 41 by the postal distribution center in north port.
