Wanted to like the place but the girl there acted discriminatory to me... I was walking in and being polite like I am, let a man go ahead of me... Well that turned out to be my big mistake for being nice... She just ignored me the entire time... I had to chase her down because I just wanted to know what time the close.. I would have gone there regularly but forget it.. Then she made me repeat myself when I said it perfectly clear... She didn't under "I have a question"... I just wanted to know the time... Well so much for making that a regular spot... It seems like a good location but I'm not going to go to a place that just ignores the fact that I'm standing there.. There's no way I'm going to pay to be mistreated...

Ordered a turmeric latte, which cost me about 7 dollars. The latte arrived in a large coffee cup, and it was filled to the brim. Overall, it tasted good.
There's sufficient space to work on ones computer inside and outside; however, there are limited electrical outlets and the wifi network and password are not apparent. This restaurant is pet friendly, so if eating in proximity to dogs makes you cringe, then this might not be the place for you. Notwithstanding, I only witnessed pets outside the restaurant.
The vibe was calm and tropical, the workers were kind, and I plan to return.

We never come to the Jacksonville area without at least one visit to Southern Grounds & Co. in Neptune Beach. This is hands down Cherrie Dean's favourite place in town.

This is one of those places that is made great by the atmosphere. It is located on First Street, just steps from the ocean. It has a great courtyard which is shared with some very quaint shops and everyone wants to sit out there in the sunshine under the palms (I have to get some shade due to my Lupus, but I still enjoy the courtyard).

Today's visit was for breakfast before a few doctor appointments at the Mayo Clinic. We started out with an espresso brownie and a gluten-free pecan pumpkin muffin. I didn't try the muffin, but Cherrie says it was awesome. The brownie was out of this world.

My coffee was HOT and fresh. Cherrie got her traditional unsweetened iced tea with lemon, which she said was delicious and had just a hint of lavender, perhaps.

Our main dishes were avocado toast, which was awesome, and I had a meatless egg and cheese bagel ( no meat because it's Friday in Lent... I usually get sausage on it). It was great, filling. I enjoyed it.

This place is clearly a local gathering spot and pet friendly, so there are frequently dogs along with their owners. I promise you...if you come here once you certainly will come back. I know we'll be back next week when we are back in town.

Had the French toast crunch latte, hot. OMG tasted just like french toast. I've had plenty of lattes that are supposed to taste like something specific and they usually fail. But this latte I could actually get the French toast flavor coming out. Would definitely get again. Not sure how iced would taste since french toast should be hot πŸ€”

The salted caramel cookie was one of the best I've ever had. The chocolate chunks were yummy!

Local spot to grab coffee in the area with beautiful, buzzing interior courtyard (great because it is near the beach and surrounded by cute locally owned shopping area). The coffee is very good! Interior seating just opened up post COVID closure. But we love it cuz they have a lot of outdoor seating, it’s great when you have kids in tow. They have pastry, breakfast, lunch and dinner, some vegetarian food options, beer, and wine. This is our family favorite spot to start or end the beach day with some hot cocoa for the kids and vino for us.

Grabbed Southern Grounds for breakfast. Ordered online. I tried the california breakfast sandwich with lox and egg which was alright. I wish it came with veggies like tomato or spinach, or allowed you to add on the online order. I also got the matcha latte which was good but quite overpriced.

Coffee was good, they have a nice selection. The espresso brownie was a bit pricy, but come on... It could have fed a family of 4. I, of course, ate the whole thing

We went for coffee, the coffee is good. My only issue is I like my coffee in a mug when I'm dining in, not in a paper cup. I couldn't get my coffee in a mug there. If you don't care about the cup it's a good place for coffee.

Had a nice cup of coffee with a friend. The employees seemed disconnected from what they're job should be which is helping customers enjoy a potentially nice experience. Maybe next time.

Been here many times! About $11 for a large latte with oat milk (very delicious btw) and kid's grilled cheese. Friendly staff, clean/ nice atmosphere, regular prices, you can walk to the beach πŸ‘πŸ½
