The Local Restaurant

OMG! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! In town for a girls weekend and found The Local Restaurant by accident. What a find! The House-made Ricotta cheese caprese salad, the smoked turkey sandwich with fries AND Banana bread pudding....soooooo yummy! Will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Hidden gem with lovely food and great service. We had the 3 tomato salad with shrimp and snapper piccata with the gratin potato and greens. Everything was packed with flavor. Dessert was beyond: the gluten free pineapple upside cake...moist with a good crumb and perfectly sweet pineapple.
We will be back.

Unfortunately the last 3 visits we had would be the last ones. This was one of our favorite restaurants. The food quality is always great but they were understaffed every time, which resulted in a long wait to be greeted, get drinks and let alone an order in. Today for lunch the server had 10 tables at one time and unfortunately that had us all waiting. The chef had to come out and bring food or buss tables. The first time this happened we thought maybe something happened to the rest of the staff so we were understanding, the second time we brought friends from out of town to show them the spot and we left embarrassed by the experience, nothing wrong with the server, just only one for the whole restaurant. So today at lunch being the 3rd time it is obvious that this might be their new way to schedule out of season. It’s sad to see an amazing business make poor decisions.

The Local is a great "local" establishment. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Juicy and full of flavor, exactly what I was looking for.. Never had a bad meal there!

Friendly staff, pretty good food, and sloooow service. The good: Kung Pao Avocado was amazing. Sounds weird but it was really good. Au Gratin Hash was excellent. Korean lettuce cups were super tasty. Good beer selection and friendly staff. The bad: ticket time was insanely slow. Took over an hour to get our food on a night with 5-6 tables filled. No explanation or apology from the otherwise friendly staff. Saffron Rissoto was tasteless. Everything else we had, cauliflower, grilled eggplant, and brussel sprouts was unremarkable. Good staff, afraid of delivering bad news. I blame management. Hopefully just an off night.

So disappointing. I told Jennifer our waitress about my Gluten and Onion allergies. She brought my burger out with onions. I mentioned it, so she took it back. 15 seconds later it was back in front of me. She said he replaced the tomato that touched the onion. I told her that she clearly didn't understand food allergies. She also stood at the bar eating food with her fingers in site of customers. They carried a customers bill over after kicking her fingers. Never again!

Three stars because the service was so awful. The selection of food on the menu is great, it’s pricy but you are getting good quality food and most of it I believe is from local sources. I think that the restaurant needs to hire a hostess and bus boy so the servers can keep up with their tables. We were without water most of the time. Had to reach down our check when ready to go and our server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu. I got the veggie sandwich and luckily I like spice because it had a good bite to it. The server never mentioned that. Had my husband ordered it he would not of been able to eat it.

The Local is the absolute best. I recently decided to become vegetarian and their menu caters so well to anyone with dietary restrictions without compromising an ounce of deliciousness. Bravo Chef Jeff & team!

The worst meal in Naples, the patio was a bust, soo loud w. the STEAMER s next door dreaming out names of patrons and the food here was such a small portion I left starved to death ! My Kunong vegan entree was puree salt w/ 1 small fried avocado in a spoonful of brown rice and greasy onions, with all of 3 peanuts in the salty sauce. Husbands pork roast was bone dry and flavorless, this is the worse place i ve dined at in area. and not cheap!!!
